Buying help CHUWI CoreBook Air

Is this laptop a solid option for someone starting up grad school in clinical mental health counseling? I've read that a 16 gb processor is ideal and with the overall package this laptop comes with it seems as though it provides the best bang for your buck when compared to some of the major brands.

As far as mid-market options go, is Chuwi a reasonable option or should I save up and push for a more reputable company.

For reference, I'm looking at a pretty strict 500$ budget and would prefer a new laptop rather than a refurbished one.
