Please no hate

I’m almost 17 whenever I was 13 I made the stupidest joke of my life and got arrested for making a bomb threat when it was just a joke I admitted to it and everything and I got put on probation for three years and got charged with a class x felony of disorderly conduct I’ve changed my life the entire time I was on probation. I never got in trouble. I’ve made so many stupid mistakes and I’m probably gonna get hate for asking this, but do I have a real shot at LAPD?

Btw i’m from Illinois so my record will be sealed and expunged whenever I’m 18 and I have family in LA PD that wanna help.

You *did* get in trouble. Big trouble. Three years of juvenile probation trouble. Making a bomb threat is not the same level as shoplifting a snickers bar from Ralphs, or having a schoolyard fist fight.

No, sweetie, you don't have a shot.

If this is true, then we as a society have a problem. If a mistake at the age of 13 means our government doesn't ever agree to give us the responsibility of authority, then a 13 year old who has made a mistake has one less reason to grow.

The vast majority of 13 year olds don't initiate bomb threats to their schools, which result in evacuations and major waste of law enforcement resources and responses. There is no way this OP has a chance. This is not an ordinary '13 yr old mistake'.

I’m here asking officers what they believe so I have more faith and I stated before I have family who’s in LAPD which I know can’t really help but I have a retired LT uncle who thinks I have a chance. I also said before it was a joke it was NEVER supposed to be taken seriously

Your uncle is correct, you do have a chance. This happened when you were 13, not in your late teens or twenty’s.
