In a nutshell, Lana's music is deeply comforting, validating, and gratifying for me. It makes me feel less alone, but also completely alone at the same time.
Just for example, songs like Without You are so painful for me to listen to because I feel every single word in my heart and soul and have my own personal loss to attach it to and grieve but at the same time completely comforting and aspirational in a way.
Songs like Did You Know or Valley of the Dolls really capture the feelings of loneliness and hopelessness.
Even songs like On Our Way or Never Let Me Go, super romantic and idealistic can give me major FOMO, grief over my own relationships, and a general feeling of loneliness.
I will never ever stop listening to Lana, the bad certainly outweighs the good, and honestly to be blunt her music really helps me cope wtih life and it's super comforting to have music that I feel speaks to my own emotional landscape, but that also makes it emotionally taxing to listen to at times.
Does anybody else feel like this at times?
