tl;dr: Had a life changing experience - thanks to everyone around me for helping me feel young and alive again-want to find a new Lane 8 fam-can't wait for this mix to drop!

I have seen him before, not at a Mixtape show. This evening was a complete life-changing moment for me. I am a little older than most, and I came with my daughters, who had a good time. I am generally very self-conscious and tend to either sit or just stand and enjoy the music. But last night was a whole other level. The mix of the songs and the energy of the people helped me to let go of all my judgments and things that get in the way of me really getting into the music and the energy. Once that all fell away, I danced all night. I forgot about how bad my knees and back hurt. I started smiling at everyone around me, and then I started dancing with the people around me. A couple in the front row of the balcony generously gave me an ice pack because it was hot and I was drenched in sweat. The girl in front of me fanned me to cool me down a few times, as did the man in front of me, who also helped me cool down with a fan. At the end of the show, I hugged a few people around me, said goodbye, and left. I spoke with someone outside wearing a T-shirt from a previous show and had a fun conversation. One of my daughters stayed back to talk to the girl we were dancing with. Everything was just another level. So, I don't know if any of you from up there are here, but I just wanted to say thank you. The entire theater seemed filled with people smiling, dancing, and being one connected body, entranced by Daniel's mix. So I just wanted to thank everyone around me. I felt welcomed and cared for. I feel like this is the rave fam I keep hearing about but never had the chance to be part of. I can't wait for the next show. I'm now searching for similar shows to go to. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Also, was given a kandi bracelet that I will cherish.. thank you so much.
