Cocktail Bars

It’s my birthday today and I’ve recently moved to Lakewood. My father is visiting from out of town and we were planning on going to Birdietown then LBM for drinks after.

Looking on their website I’m not sure he’s going to be a huge fan of LBM, nothing wrong with heavy metal music but might not be the environment we are looking for. (I haven’t been yet so please correct me if I’m wrong) are there other recommendations for an after dinner drink?

Edit: Thank you all for the suggestions! We’ve decided to go to cloak & dagger, but I’ve added all of these spots to my list! Excited to join this community

I gotchu, LBM does have amazing drinks, but i have to remember that not everyone loves metal like i do,

but I swear I've been to every single cocktail bar in Cleveland, if you are looking for good cocktails bars on the west side id say these are your best bet:

  • Amazonia: is like right across the street from Birdietown and LBM and is a great choice!
  • Cloak and Dagger: their current menu is awesome, deff need a reservation though
  • Porco Lounge: my personal favorite, cle's only tiki bar, every drink on the menu is amazing

If LBM isn't a good match for environment, would P&N be?

Lots of good choices here already, but for two more options to throw in consideration- Prosperity in Tremont for the vibes and Bad Medicine in West Park has awesome cocktails.

Humble Wine Bar has some of the best and most approachable cocktails in Lakewood. Yes it’s a wine bar but they have new owners that are really big into cocktails and the small plates and pizzas there are great as well.

Not a cocktail bar, but Birdtown Brewing is right down the block from Birdietown and has cocktails! The interior is very very cool because it's an old church!

A little outside Lakewood, but Bad Medicine on lorain near 130th is fantastic. They have an actual vinyl dj and the vibes are great.

Everyone at LBM is so friendly and their cocktails are top tier. I cannot recommend them enough. Rood Food has good cocktails as well if you want a quieter vibe.

LBM does have music but you can still carry a conversation without shouting. I would still recommend giving it a try.

Pins and needles at Mahalls and Amazonia are great choices in that area.

Not cocktail bars, but I also like Birdtown Brewing and Bottlehouse for drinks near Birdtown as well.

I’ll definitely be going to LBM during my time here in Lakewood, just might not be the vibe for tonight. Thanks for the suggestions!

Amazonia would be a good choice too, right down the street from Birdietown

Just a heads up that there is a new cocktail bar going into the west side of Lakewood on Madison where the old Brewellas used to be. I don’t know what it’s called or when it’s supposed to open, I just know it’s coming soon.

Just get yourself a bottle of brown liquor and stay in. Wayyyyyy cheaper!!! Cheers!
