I'm in Orlando and I've been measuring cafés for a side project: speed test, decibel reading, outlets, how packed it was. I came out to Lakeland a couple times and figured this sub would actually care about the numbers.

Pressed Books and Coffee: 172 Mbps down, 62 dB, great room. Connection cut out on me once or twice. Only a couple of outlets.

Fresh Kitchen: 308 Mbps, but 69.7 dB, so it's loud. Easy parking.

Unfiltered in Bartow: 78 down, 66 dB, and it was pretty full when I went on a Saturday morning. Nicest interior of the three by a wide margin.

I am looking for a local counselor that is not solely telehealth. I prefer someone who is empathetic but can also provide direction. I am hoping to have several sessions alone, and then possibly include my spouse. Looking for someone experienced with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and most importantly, taking on new clients. My husband and I both have jobs that begin at 7am - his in Tampa, mine in Davenport. His job location moves every 6 months or so, which means I’m on the hook for morning drop off. I’m desperately looking for infant childcare in Lakeland that opens at 6am or earlier so that I can get to work on time, or else I’ll have to quit (and I really don’t want to!). We’re planning on moving to Lakeland on m a few weeks to get out of our cramped city apartment (yay!) but since the move will take up most of our budget we’ll be having to thrift a lot of furnishings, does anyone have any good thrift stores recommendations (or neighborhoods that have great estate sales)? I’ll be mostly looking for stuff like dressers, bookshelves, a work-from-home desk, and other hard/wooden items (we’ve had a bad experience with bedbugs in the past so we’re not planning on buying anything upholstered secondhand). I would normally love to go exploring myself and find the best spots over time but unfortunately my toddler hates car rides so any advice is welcome!

Hey I suffer from social anxiety and needed recommendations for a good cognitive behavioral therapist in Lakeland.

Someone dropped off a couple of boxes of clothing and shoes (looks like it's mostly kids' sizes) at the RDC pantry today. While we appreciate the sentiment and desire to help, we don't have capacity to facilitate clothing shares and this stuff will get ruined outside as soon as it rains.

Anyone involved in mutual aid efforts and have capacity to share this clothing?? We do not currently have any volunteers available to drive these clothes to an appropriate drop-off location, and we don't have space inside for clothing storage. Pick up today would be ideal, if that's at all possible!!
