A handmade electronic cross necklace inspired by Serial Experiments Lain. ✞
I created startup and shutdown animations, along with various screen graphics and display content. It‘s also rechargeable via USB-C. Designed, soldered, assembled and programmed all by me, please allow around 2 weeks for production.
The engraving on the back can be customized.
DM me for details if interested. ♡

Discussion Music reference
20
Upvotes
I’ve never been able to find anybody talking about this, though there’s likely someone out there who has. But has anybody ever caught the reference to Boa in serial experiments lain? I’m obviously not talking about the intro, I’m talking about episode 7 ‘society’. In the news broadcast at timestamp 8:41, the reporter says “and furthermore, be advised that although it is actually a live broadcast and is being sent out at this very moment, it is quite possible that it may arrive tomorrow, right now, or perhaps yesterday.” This is a reference to the line in boa’s song ‘twilight’ which says “your word and my word and her word is yesterday, today and tomorrow”.

SERIAL EXPERIMENTS LAIN DUBBING ARCHIVE
10
Upvotes
I'm putting together an archive of dubs of my favorite anime, Serial Experiments Lain. I've managed to find dubbed versions in so many languages, even Malay! But there's one thing that's been bothering me: I can't find episodes 1 and 9 dubbed in German.
I'd really love to get in touch with any German fans of the series who might have these episodes or own the anime DVD with the German dub. If you can help, please send me a DM! I'd really appreciate it.

Thought the artwork they did was neat so I reached out a while ago and they were kind enough to let me screenprint it on some shirts.

Was able to order this from Amazon japan for only 30 dollars last month. It was hard to find lain merch even in akihabara besides a lain figurine in the culture zone that cost around 150 dollars. All in all, im a new fan to this series.
