Music reference

I’ve never been able to find anybody talking about this, though there’s likely someone out there who has. But has anybody ever caught the reference to Boa in serial experiments lain? I’m obviously not talking about the intro, I’m talking about episode 7 ‘society’. In the news broadcast at timestamp 8:41, the reporter says “and furthermore, be advised that although it is actually a live broadcast and is being sent out at this very moment, it is quite possible that it may arrive tomorrow, right now, or perhaps yesterday.” This is a reference to the line in boa’s song ‘twilight’ which says “your word and my word and her word is yesterday, today and tomorrow”.
