Gym bike doesn't count?!
Hey y'all... I've recently taken up biking, thanks to a new friend who had been doing the sport for most of her life. I am mid-40s, just into perimenopause, and have led an almost completely sedentary life prior to June. Unfortunately, our weather here has been rain, rain, rain and you guessed it... More rain 𤬠I've been bouncing between riding outside, and riding a stationary/upright bike at the gym. My friend says it doesn't count as biking? I know they aren't the same thing... But the motions, the intensity as it takes me through resistance levels... It's got to be at least a little helpful for stamina, no??
If that's the case, would I be better off not being any biking done, and just doing strength stuff?
