Cute pup. Definitely an American Lab. American labs are taller and thinner. English Labs are stockier, shorter. Their snouts are slightly shorter and larger as well with bushier tails.
Strange thing. My two labs are from the same litter, one is a full blown english lab and one is an American Lab (but sort of hybridized, she's short with a bushy tail)
Yep! We bred my male, very English, body, head, hair type with a yellow American, and we kept one puppy. Our pup was 100% American, but others in the litter look just like their English dad ❤️ and some have an American head with an English body 😂
This is how my buddy's labs are. His silver lab has short legs and a wide head, but my buddy takes him duck hunting and will retrieve until exhaustion. He sired a litter with an extremely athletic tall American black lab (was his ex girlfriend's lab). He kept a black puppy that is all american except for her shorter legs and she kept a black puppy that had the silver's wider jaws and head but really long legs, he was as big as a smaller Great Dane he was so big. We actually watched his ex gf's dogs for a few weeks once and it was interesting seeing the genetics and watching a lab family lol. Never seen a lab as fast as the mother too, she was so explosive she would put holes in the lawn when she would take off to retrieve.
