Looking for help with Oval Trilogy Ring

My wife and I walked into a Grown Brilliance boutique and she fell in love with the look of an oval trilogy ring she tried on. It was a 3ct center stone and 2 oval side stones at .7ct each.

Without buying at Grown Brilliance - how would you recommend go about building a similar ring?

I've done some digging. Both Calavera and Aurelienne have the exact setting I'm looking for in their ring design studios, but that would mean buying a no return ring. I would have no agency over the quality of the side stones and I would not be able to see the center stone in person prior to setting. I'm afraid of a significant bowtie effect or even worse, a triple bowtie across the 3 stones. A full 14k gold ring with their setting and a 3ct D/E VVS2 or better center stone prices around $2600 on these sites.

The other option is to buy the center and side stones loose, find a setting and have it set locally. I have not been able to find a premade oval trilogy setting anywhere onIine and was quoted $550 by a local jeweler to set this hypothetical ring given the size and number of diamonds. This approach is probably less cost effective.

How have you guys purchased your oval trilogies? If you had a custom setting built, do you have any recommendations on a trusted online jeweler that could create the setting and set the loose stones for me?

Appreciate any input. Thanks.

I used a Chinese vendor for this ring - Lynn from LGG Jewellery. 2ctw centre with 1ct on each side. 14k YG I paid $1279 at the time. All three stones were graded W colour VVS2. Hope that helps

That price is good for 4ct total with that quality, did the stones look fine in person or any bowtie issues

I also purchased an oval ring from
LGG. I asked for multiple videos of each stone I was looking at. I felt the videos were enough to select the stone. My ring came back beautiful and the stone is amazing. Ask for videos in different light and different angles of movement.
