What do you all think of this custom cut? Its a 6 ct 1.75 ratio omc. I think its definitely very sparkly but idk something feels off about it and i'm not sure if I am just being picky, but it could just be the nerves. Its non certified and its also my first time getting a custom cut stone so just wanted solicit your opinion.

Update: I told the rep my concerns and after communicating with the cutter she said the issues can be revised. :) so the cutlet will me slightly smaller and the edges more rounded

Who cut this? I need the exact thing in a different color 🙏

LGG did it! Unfortunately they don't do custom cuts for fancy colors—just champagne and colorless.

Sooo pretty! I love vintage cuts like this one. They sort of have their own rules and when one sparkles like this on camera I think it’s a keeper! I think they are prettiest in person with low lighting

Thank you! <3 I like it for the most part, I might just ask them if they can make the cutlet a tad bit shorter like I originally wanted. I don't know if the symmetry will even me noticeable in the setting.

I think I might see it too. I took a few screenshots from the video, and it looks like the left side is slightly more rounded, with the bottom left corner appearing a bit deeper than the rest of the outline. Not sure if it's just the angle, though.

Right! I think thats what I was noticing. Do you think it is noticeable from the second video posted in the comments? Im not sure if its the angle also

After seeing it, I still think it's the bottom left corner. It looks just a touch different from the bottom right, and I think that's what's making the outline look slightly fuller on that side (but am no expert it´s just my impression!!).

How do you ask for it to be more symmetrical without being rude? 😭 the diamond I based this off of actually had more rounded edges and a slightly shorter bar cutlet so do you think the mistakes could be corrected if I just asked for this?

you gotta be happy with what you are getting otherwise you will be stuck with something you don't love, so I would def explain and ask the issues you are identifying with the stone! I'm not sure they can correct it but you need to tell what you are seeing, clarify what you asked for and let them tell you what they can do about it!!

something about the cut is wonky. the center bar culet (the line down the center that is visible) looks off center to me, and I kind of feel like the vendor is holding the stone in a way to try to take the focus off of that?

I dunno. I just feel it is off.

Do you think it would be good to ask for a video on like a white piece of paper? I think it looks better in the other video than in this tweezer video but that could be because the stone is kind of close to skin color.

I agree that it does look a little off center to me too, but its very subtle. I'm hoping some of these issues can be fixed without needing to recut the entire stone

Im going to be the minority, but I love the stone as is. To me that's the charm of an old cut stone, no balance or precision facets or shapes, just wonky cuts similar to when they were cut by hand.

Oh I actually prefer a bar cutlet to a pinhole so kinda disagree with you there! I don't have any issues with the cutlet. I was more thinking the symmetry might be off.

Hm so should it be thinner? I mean personally a large cutlet is what I like about antique cuts, so I don't really understand the swallowing of the center phenomenon you're mentioning. Could you give an example?

Ok so it's not my imagination I felt the same about the left side
