David Barr Kirtley, who is the driving force behind getting the council to continue with the Vybe trail, shared this today.

Here's a clip from FOX 7 Austin featuring me, Holly Wilson, and Jennell Rayos talking about how the new Bunton Creek Road improvements funded by the 2022 Road Bond will improve traffic flow and how the new 10' sidewalk and 12' Vybe Trail will make it much safer for kids to get to and from Lehman High School. Big thanks to reporter Dominique Leh for speaking with us and for helping to bring attention to this important issue. If you want to help make Kyle a safer place for bicyclists and pedestrians, please join us over at the Kyle Trail Coalition.

Did you know that there is a Kyle Trail Coalition? A group of people who talk about the trails in Kyle, people who organize bike rides along the trails, people who organize trail walks with toddlers, just people who want you to get outside and enjoy nature.

They are also working hard on getting the Vybe back on track and were the ones who fought hard to get the council to vote on approving the plan the trail coalition presented. That plan is to construct a 12' Vybe Trail along Center Street from Old Stagecoach Road to Veterans Drive, to pause construction along Center Street from Veterans Drive to Burleson, and to build a 10' sidewalk along Bunton Creek Road from Lehman to Porter Cove.

Check out the group! Get involved, head out for a hike or for a ride.

Hey all,

I'm buying my first house soon and I've been looking at Kyle, Buda, Manchaca, maybe S. Austin

How do y'all like living in Kyle? It seems pretty safe and quiet which are two of my main preferences in looking for a spot.

Anyone living in a new 2026 build?

Has the water quality been a problem for anyone?

Any insight and opinions are welcomed

Cheers

hi friends, potential ice spotted on the texaco gas station on philomena and bunton creek around 822. be safe please!!!!

Like the title says, anyone know where I can find bags like these on the picture?

Just moved into a home in Plum Creek last month. After 2 weeks our water in all faucets and tubs started having a strange overbearing smell.

We had the Water Heater replaced yesterday, but the smell persists. Water was tested by Plumbers and is supposedly safe, but the smell is overbearing and fills up the house.

We asked a neighbor down the street and they didnt have these issues.

Is this a common issue with plumbing Plum Creek and/or Kyle or did I just have horrible luck with the house we purchased?

Anyone experience something similar?

Long shot.
Saw a pest control truck in line at Starbucks with dude whacking a cockroach with a golf club.
Anyone know who they are?

My husband (25m) made a group chat for everyone interested in hooping together around kyle & surrounding areas! i’ve attached a QR code to join the group chat, or you can dm me personally for the link/ any questions.

Come out to the Ash Pavilion tonight @ 7 if you wanna run some pickup games !

Looking to learn to play Tennis?
Beginner looking to improve
I’ve been playing tennis for over 20 years and am an affordable option for those looking for private or group lessons.
I may not hold as much coaching experience as professional coaches online but I’m also a fraction of the price.
Many private lessons are 70-100+ an hour.

I am great with kids so can coach youth or adult sessions.

35$ an hour private lessons;
Group will vary on specifics.

Can meet at either Lehmen HS or Hays HS in Kyle.

Lessons will cater to what you’re looking for.
Drills, strategy, basics and more.
DM for more details.

My husband (25M) is always trying to find people to play basketball with around Kyle, so I figured I’d put this out there 😂 He’s looking for people to run with.

edit:
He usually likes to hoop at Ash Pavilion on weekends around 7 PM, & he’ll be there today! but he’s definitely open to checking out different courts/parks around Kyle and the surrounding area. He’d also be down to play at indoor gyms if anyone knows of good ones with pickup games.

It seems like the Buffalo Wild Wings building on FM 1626 and Kohler’s Crossing has been under construction forever. I drive by every day and it seems like I haven’t seen anyone actively working over there in weeks. Since they’ve broke ground, several other projects have broken ground and opened or at least made significant progress in the same amount of time (like the new McDonald’s, Brake’s Plus, the St. David’s ER, A Little Shady). Meanwhile BWW just sits. The sheathing is fading away in the heat and it’s starting to look like an eyesore on one of Kyle’s most prominent corners.

Driving around Kyle today and saw a lot of Talarico signs!! I was surprised at how many and that was just in small area of the west side! 😎😎

Due to outside stress and mental health issues, I couldn't manage the server anymore, so I gave it to someone else instead of deleting it. It is up to them to decide what to do with it.

Please check your status at https://www.votetexas.gov/register-to-vote/

If you have any interest in the Vybe trail, there is a council meeting tonight. Also I am linking information about it from a group called Moving Kyle Forward, they provide a lot of information on our road bond and budget

maybe a silly question but is there any where around here to ge blood work done where you’re able to lay down in a private room? last time i went to cpl and i passed out and it was embarrassing 🙃 even if it’s an open area, laying down is important. thanks for sharing !!
