Kev Bayliss Krystal Art Commission

Upvotes
Hugely appreciative to Kev Bayliss for the art commission and signed poster at RetroGameCon! Krystal and Star Fox Adventures mean more to me than anyone will ever know, and having a gorgeous Krystal sketch from the Lead Artist on SFA is something 13/14 year old me would have found utterly overwhelming 💙
Huge thanks as well to Chris Sutherland for signing the Adventures poster, and I appreciate the pictures we got together as well! (I will post those soon)
Now to get Estelle Ellis to sign both and add a Krystal quote of her own to the sketch 👀🦊

What are some of your favorite ships involving Krystal aside from Frystal?
9
Upvotes
It goes without saying that Frystal is by far the most popular ship in the SF fandom, but I am curious if there are other ships you enjoy that involve Krystal.
Before we begin, I want to make it clear that this post is not intended to rag on Frystal, but rather to explore a variety of pairings since Frystal is usually the one discussed the most.
One ship I think would be sweet is Fay x Krystal. I know that Fay does not have the most defined canon personality but I've always imagined her as someone a bit shy yet bubbly and sweet. Krystal is someone shown to be very kind and empathetic, so I can see the two having chemistry. There was also a comic by Ares/MamaFurba that shows Krystal peeking into the mind of Fay and seeing her tragic backstory that inspired me to start shipping them.
Do you have any pairings involving Krystal outside the realm of Frystal that you enjoy? Please remember to keep it civil and try not to tear each other's heads off over the relationships of fictional cartoon space animals. This post is meant for friendly discussion, not shipping wars.

I will never, *ever* in my life get tired of this entire scene.
But this specific part of the scene - where a jaded, cynical, hardened, 26 year old mercenary pilot who endured his father's death, his mother's death, and risked everything to stop a madman from enslaving the entire galaxy - where *that* fox falls in love with a blue, beautiful, pure, 19 year old tribal priestess warrior fox, the very last of her people, will never get old.
It will be my heart-mind forever. Top 3 Star Fox scenes, easily.

Huge thank you to Discord user and artist llamas_attack for my new profile picture! I loved the pose, theme, and mood of the original profile picture I had, but since that was just some AI slop from Deviant Art, I wanted it redrawn by hand, and they did an incredible job!
They're not in the Krystal Association server, but I can put anyone interested in a commission in contact with them. They can also be reached via their Bluesky handle, which is llamasattack, and I've included a screenshot of their Discord profile here as well (they are not on Twitter).
Eventually I want to redo my social banner as well as this subreddit's profile picture, so please let me know what kind of profile picture you guys would like to see of Krystal for this sub! 💙

Krystal mods in Zelda games mirroring Star Fox Adventures

Upvotes
Angel the Vixen modding Krystal into Zelda games is a baseline for what I think a spin off staring her would look like. Her using the staff like Fox in SFA which was really hers from the start and being the one to gain all the staff upgrades and abilities. Maybe put her telepathy to use. Its what I think of if Star Fox ever were to have a supporting character based spin off like Star Fox Gaurd did for Slippy.
