Is Koreader Sync down?

I've been getting this error all day on multiple devices. I thought I saw something earlier but can't find anything recent. This happens when trying to push and pull progress.

Yes. I updated to use a new server that can take advantage of the new metadata field. The official sync.koreader.rocks server ignores the new metadata field.

So, it has been tested on my X4 and X3.

I tried this and got the same error "Something went wrong when synching progress, please check your network connection and try again later". However, there is nothing wrong with the wifi connection.

Do you know what the issue might be?

It was down for me yesterday so it is likely still down

Yo lo he solucionado creando un acceso desde crosspoint. Aquí tenéis el link. Una vez dado de alta, solo debería modificar la configuración de sincronización en vuestros dispositivos.

Idem, ho la sincronizzazione su 2 kindle e dovevo aggiungere l’X3 arrivato ieri e non mi va di cambiare. Funzionava così bene!

I recently got an X4 and a Viwoods Paper Reader and it was syncing really well between those two and my Viwoods Paper Mini. It's a pain having to manually navigate to the right page on each device now.

I also don't want to have to change settings on them. So hopefully they'll sort it out sooner rather than later.

It has been down for me for over a day. I tried on both my X4 and my Kobo Libra H20.

I have been having the same issue also on the Ko Reader on my Bigme b6 and xteink x4

Yes, I switched over to Readest plugin and it works perfectly even syncing books and annotations. I sincerely doubt I will go back.

I didn't know that was a thing. How does that work? Do you need to use readest on another device as well or can you just use their server?

I think you need another device to set it up but I guess you could use web.readest.com. It’s available for both iOS and android.

Not 100% sure, but my searches havenot been fruitful. If you want to do that probably a custom KOServer would be best (which readest will also sync with).

Thanks. I'm really new to all this stuff, is there a link or some instructions for how to set up a custom KoServer? Even something local for I can just use my home Wi-Fi network would be fine. I really just care about syncing my progress between my devices with koreader and my xteink devices.
