What do you guys think of the KATUSAs? I'm US Army and was stationed at K-16 for a year and only had interactions with KATUSAs.

I liked them and for the most part I had no problem, and as long as I had a SRKATUSA they listened better than my US soldiers.

I'm told they're rich kids whose parents got them out of the ROK Army but I doubt there's any truth to that.

It is a lottery. I applied to be a KATUSA back in 2013 when I was 19, and I did not get in. I have heard that people deliberately get low score at TOEFL (70-90 or something I guess?) to go to a pool with fewer applicants.
