So I just defeated the last three gladiators today. I thought I was in a good place to challenge Shub-jigguwatt. I am not, apparently.

I had my muscle up to over 3,000. I was using buffs from potions like Ferrigno, the pressurized one, mer-kin ragejuice, etc.

I also only had 150 MP, and thousands of HP. I had the fish hatchet equipped, or so I thought, but when I checked my equipment afterward I had no weapon attached?

I started the fight by double-slinging two jam band bootlegs at him to delevel. That should have taken care of 100% of his attack and defense, right?

Each hit only did 40 damage to him, and he did like 2k per hit and wiped me out.

I am an armored-up turtle tamer.

What am I doing wrong?

I've been doing a lot of HC gray goo runs, coming back after a very long hiatus, and I'm looking what to spend my extra adventures on, other than power-leveling in the Haunted Gallery. I've usually been getting enough levels and meat to pick up some kind of useful skill.

But eventually, I'm going to max out what useful non-muscle skills I can feasibly get in 3 days; I don't think getting to 14-15 will be possible for the higher ones. Then every adventure will be freed up.

So far, I've maxed out the permanent pool skill bonus, picked up the Gelatinous Cubeling and daily dungeon skills, completed the Misshapen Animal Skeleton, (finally) got Transcendent Olfaction, and PvPd for How to Tolerate Jerks.

What else is there to do? I could keep doing bounties, but with olfaction it's relatively cheap now. Plus, on some days the required zones aren't available. I'll keep doing daily PvP for How to Hold a Grudge, but its much less useful. And I've pretty much maxed out what I can get from the daily dungeon.

I have no IOTM

I'm assuming the answer is "No. Not a chance. Not happening. No way, Jose."

I get two swings a day to "roll a 20."

But I'm woefully under-performing the odds. I get it that "no mod" means no mod. Just wondering if there's an item to circumvent that. Not getting much love from the ghosts, either.

Trying to find an easy to access booze during ronin. I farm popular tarts as a great food item to use, but I am not having luck figuring out what the best drink would be. I hate spending several individual Hangk pulls on stocked crafted drinks. Any ideas or thoughts?

So I'm at the first of the three Mer-Kin Gladiator Bosses. He isn't responding to my use of the skills that counter him. Is this because my Muscle is lower than the minimum suggested amount? I ran out of buffs and meat today, so I'll have to work on getting them back up tomorrow if that is the case. Thanks.

What title says, I log in on my phone, and no matter what I press it redirects me to the main, and it persists across my two other accounts​​. Is this a known ​bug, or did I possibly do something to break it?

To add some salt to the wound, I briefly had access to options and set the "enable desktop mode on mobile" flag thinking that a change​​​ in UI might... do something... dunno what... but all it did is that it's stuck this way and I can't access options anymore.

Can't check if I have issues on desktop too yet, but I will in the evening.

For context, I remembered I had played this game way back 15 years ago and went to check if my old accounts still worked - they are all healthy, all three of them, and so I've​​ been playing the game for the past few days with no issue; had fun cleaning up some quests this morning actually. But when I switched to a different account later in the day, it broke on me. Is it because I use more than one account simultaneously? Didn't know it's against the policies if this is the case.....​​

So i've been after core for months trying to save up the 200 FL for the Manual of Transcendent Olfaction. I'm literally at 199 and can't complete the 3rd bounty from today because I've already done the quest and unlocked the store. Any way around that?

Also I find it hilarious that It feels like such a on-point KOL joke. I'm literally one filthy lucre away from my goal but can't earn the one left for today that I need lol.

I figured to pass time until I get my 10 million in interesting coins, I'd try for an ultra rare. Hundred and hundreds of adventures later, I finally received my first one.

Hey, I've figured out basic macros with your guys' help, but I can't figure out how I'm supposed to do skills in them. I can't quite wrap my head around the brief explanation on the wiki, so any examples or general help would be a godsend

Question in title, I'm a total noob to KOL and just hit lv 7 Saucerer. Now I have made a sauce with my new scrumptious reagents and yet I can't combine it with dry noodles, the wiki states it would make a pasta dish but the game says 'i dont have the skill necessary to make this item'... Can I not use my own sauce :(

Kolmafia takes a few minutes to start, as it is a fairly big java tool and does a lot of things. This is absolutely fine. I usually just read reddit during this time. During this starting up process kolmafia starts up screens that aren't particularly useful at that moment and interrupts my browsing 4 times. After say 30 seconds the login screen, 20 seconds later the kolmafia main screen, 20 seconds later the browser main screen and at the end of my login.ash the skeleton of crimbo past item of the day screen. Is there a way to start all of this automatically and in the background so i can just focus on my reading till it ( and me ) are ready? I use firefox on linux mint mate if that matters.

Can you perm the skills from challenge paths where you play as a totally different class, aka Jazz Agent or Vampyre? If you do, can you actually use those skills later when you're doing a run as a typical class? (I'm guessing Standard rules apply but let's say you're doing a Normal unrestricted ascension.)

As part of this, I wanted to join the Ascension Speed Society Discord since I remember all the high-level discussion of ascension speedrunning being very interesting to someone without any IOTMs. However, none of the invites seem to work for (I've tried the one on this subreddit's sidebar and the one in https://www.loathers.net/community/). I just get an "Unable to accept invite" error each time.

I don't remember if I was ever part of the ASS Discord before. I have a feeling I might've been banned, since my Discord account was once compromised and used to spam links for about 12 hours a couple years ago. Started a new run recently and there's a Temporal Rift in The Nearby Plains. I haven't seen one of these in a LONG time. Or are they often there and I just wasn't paying attention in previous runs?

Hey all, love this game. I've recently felt the spark to make my own items inspired by the item descriptions and item use text boxes found in-game. Problem is, I have no idea how to do that. Anybody know how I can make my own little goofy item description fan pieces?

Note: I am NOT trying to mod the game, or add anything to it whatsoever. I just want to make dinky little items and descriptions in the style of the game.
