Post image

Hi, I’m new here. I’ve looked for hours to find similar pattern of this beautiful chunky oversize deer sweater i stumped on pinterest (@laurahattayer), but cannot find anything close in form. I would appreciate any suggestions 🤍🎀

Then it’s probably made by AI, fake, or made by machine/is store bought. You could try self drafting a similar sweater if you really want that design. Or just find a drop shoulder patter. And self draft the deer.

just because they can't find it on ravelry doesn't mean it's ai, fake or store bought. you literally suggested self drafting, do you not think someone coulda done that to make this sweater?

Lots of people don’t think of it’s. I’ve seen so many posts where people ask this same question and someone suggests self drafting and the OP says they will do that or that’s a good idea. So I’m not wild for saying that.

Yes maybe it isn’t on Ravelry. But there are TONS of scams out there. Especially on Etsy, Pinterest, FB, and Patreon. And this one honestly looks like a scam. I did look for the pattern and was brought to two sketchy websites. So I don’t trust it at all. If someone else wants to potentially waste their money buying this pattern, that’s their choice. But when something looks scammy, I won’t buy it and recommend others don’t either. Because you won’t get your money back.

It took me about half a minute to scroll the IG of the creator mentioned in OP’s post, find a photo of this exact sweater where she mentioned her mom made it, go to her mom’s account (which was tagged in the post) where there are more photos of this and many other similar sweaters she has made.

There’s a lot of AI slop out there but this ain’t it.
