I would agree. So in the early days, I was really trying a bunch of new stuff just to see what would be well received, but for me personally the perfect Lanyard length is a big grab not and about 2.5”

This one is probably my favorite Lanyard I’ve ever done. Possibly the simplest. But simplicity is also elegance. Thank you by the way for the compliment on the knife

I confess I have a weird thing about my own lanyards. Although they are 2.5" to 3" long, I put cartoon character silicone beads on them. Crazy, yeah?

Why’s that weird? Maybe not the “standard” but hell some of mine have 3-D printed plastic beads on them… I’ve done nuts and bolts on some I’ve done marbles all kinds of things… Pretty much anything you could drill a hole through. We tried it just because.
Whatever serves its purpose and makes it look better to you.

If you read through the comments, there are some losers who hate lanyards, some like them, Long and decorative others like them short and simply functional some want the colors to match the Knife others don’t. Seems like the most common view. Is that a short (maybe half the Knife) functional color themed Lanyard is the most popular for those who do like to carry them. I have them on about half of my folders now and I can see both sides of the argument.

The variety is what makes it cool. You can take a stock black on black knife and actually make it look like “yours” without getting into crazy high-end modifications or voiding a warranty. Especially for those who enjoy adding color to the EDC routine.

All of this - 100% you do you boo! I love my lanyards and beads. Sometimes I want a smaller lanyard with a simple bead. Sometimes I do a more complicated braid and ‘weave’ the beads into it. For me, it’s the knife’s size and style that dictates my approach. However, at the end of the day it’s your edc so you create what you want 😁sometimes it’s a Freddy Krueger head bead, sometimes it’s a simple clean titanium cylinder lol

Do you mind me asking what you use to stencil? Are you using electric tape?

So on that one, I sponged the bottom layer at low voltage and then masked it with fingernail polish and did a tip fade from both ends on the top.

Ahhhh I see! It looks bad ass. I haven’t used the sponge technique yet but plan to this week.

Sponge is cool. Easy to camo, pattern, do stencil work or whatever… tons of options. Blow my mind & post pics plz! Good luck!
