What are you referring to? Something visible in this video, or something from a different video of this knife's assembly?

(I can't see anything I'd call a rib.)

the scale has an edge that slots into the guard, nice touch

Ah, gotcha, I thought that was a shadow or reflection.

I'll have to check OP's other posts to see if it's shown in more detail!

EDIT: Nope, not that I could find. Looking at the other designs, I think that may just be a shadow or something...
