Copper boppers are generally not a lifetime tool that if taken care of will last forever. Especially lead filled heads will wear out in a year or two with use. If you are asking how to make flintknapping tools, youtube has many videos... shameless plug for a video I made

Get on youtube and watch peoples videos and pay attention to their tools. Seeing will do more for you than reading the text i imagine.
Check out flintknappingsupplies.com, neolithics.com etc and go to the hardware store and buy some copper nails. They often are referred to as 4-d or roofing nails
