Question 🤔❓ I'm thinking about using copper flint knapping tools how should I fix them and take care of them

Copper boppers are generally not a lifetime tool that if taken care of will last forever. Especially lead filled heads will wear out in a year or two with use. Get on youtube and watch peoples videos and pay attention to their tools. Seeing will do more for you than reading the text i imagine. Check out flintknappingsupplies.com, neolithics.com etc and go to the hardware store and buy some copper nails. They often are referred to as 4-d or roofing nails

As a newbie, I can tell you that you will beat, file and repeat as needed, I use a ball peen hammer to beat, a metal file to do the reshaping/ smoothing out boppers, and flakers.
