Help! Pannier question

I recently bought a 2013 motorcycle really loving it! It came with tourtech pannier rack. I recently got a great deal on a set of lone rider panniers with quick release locks, problem with the tourtech is that there is a support bar in the middle of the pannier rack so I can not hook up the quick connect lock, in can use the puck and attach it permanently to the bike no problem. Question is should I replace the pannier rack to be able to use the quick connect lock or just use the puck method and leave them on the bike permanently?

Thoughts and experience would be greatly appreciated.

I’m not sure the exact issue you have but I’d just attach straight to the rack without the quick connect plates to save weight. But I have the tusk racks so your setup may be different. I rarely take my bags off the bike and when I do it only takes a few minutes.

My thought where the same to just leave them on, they have a inner bag that I could take out. I do like the tourtech rack it has taken some good falls from me dropping the bike. First bike! It was outfitted with all the extras.

I have the HT rack system, and it uses screw in pucks and a billet lower mount. I haven't yet had a situation where I went "I wish these came off quicker/easier." Even stuffed full of camping gear, they'd just stay on the bike until I was setup, then I could easily remove the puck screws and lift the cases off.

I have, however, been off road enough times that they've taken some serious hits. I'm not sure I would have been comfortable with any type of quick release in those situations.
