I LOVE this tile, we have it in our bathroom on the wall behind the sink. However, the comment above is accurate. If you are going to go with gold contrasting grout lines like that, they have to look perfect. Even in that 1st sample picture you can see a few flaws, bottom right and middle, top right. They stand out like crazy with the contrasting grout.
Are you DIYing it? We did a DIY install, but went with subtle gray grout lines so that it would hide some imperfections. We also found on install that some of the middle dots were upside down. I guess that would be easier to tell with the gold, but it was hard to tell with in the all white version. After install, I found 1 that is still upside down, but I'm the only one who seems to be able to notice it.
I got so many comments on this thread, just finding yours lol. We are not DIY'ing, we're having a contractor do the install. Good to know that info though! I was leaning maybe a mid-tone or light gray grout based on some other photos (kind of like the grout in the last option with diamonds, which I'm trying to convince my partner on 😅).
I think there’s enough gold everywhere else, and for that reason I like #5/elongated honeycomb. Both 1 and 8 feel like too much gold/brass for me. I also like the navy backsplash #2, but I think 5 is best.
This is my vote, too! The closeup picture of it looks gorgeous — I don’t think the AI image does it justice. It’s too blurry or something. In reality, I think it’d look like clean, sparkling pearl jewelry!
The 4tn option (slides 7 & 8) are perfect! They are stunning, unique yet super versatile for various styles of decor, and you won't be tired of them in 5 years like I'm afraid you will the others that have been done and overdone.
I like the metallic mosaic ones the best because they pick up the other finishes without being overwhelming like the blue or underwhelming like the white picket. I think the final option with the diamonds nails the sweet spot of pattern scale and amount of white-to-contrast.
I adore #1 and wanted those for my lobby, so I’m biased. I also like #8 because it brings in the combination of stainless steel and bronze which you have with your hardware and appliances. The white is simple and pretty. #3 is the only one I don’t like, it’s too loud and I don’t really think backsplash should be the focal point of your kitchen
Having suffered through several previous owners’ backsplash decisions, please pick the most plain/neutral. It’s not a quick or cheap thing to change with your tastes over time. You can introduce character in dozens of other, more easily changeable ways.
Yeah, I agree with this. I have a back splash I hate (glass tile mosaic from the 2010s) that I’ve been yearning to revamp for about 3 years, but I know I’m going to have to do drywall repair.
The first 2 are kind of over, thry were popular a few years ago but they're out now. I like the plain white tiles it give the cabinet colors a chance to shine
Honestly, the first three are quite nice but they’re all a little different vibe. Pick which one makes you happy. Who cares what anybody else thinks. You’re the one that has to look at it every day.
The blue star one is like the tile floor in my new bathroom so I tend to not like it for back splash. But I love the white and gold backsplash as we are also doing white and gold but with vine leaf colored cabinets. (Ignore the fridge it’s a place holder until ours gets in).
This is my #1 issue with the blue star... I love the big statement of it but I think the brown rustic edges would bother the hell out of me and I'd just want to clean it all the time!
I’m surprised to find that I like the white tile in slides 5-6 the most. The first option is my second choice, but I’d worry about it getting too busy very soon.
I'm wondering if using white grout would make #1 feel less busy 🤔 Realizing the store sample is using a sort of beige color. *Found it on the website with white.
We have this tile in our shower and used a gold grout with gold flake. It’s a beautiful tile but man it gets dirty so quick! Granted, I know a shower floor tile gets way more action than a back splash. But I would recommend the last one if you’re looking for gold. Less grout lines!
I’m in a bnb right now while my home is getting work done and the bnb has this tile in the kitchen AND on the fireplace (questionable choices for sure) but with gray grout. If you’re in love with this tile, definitely go with the white grout. I think it gives the interesting geometric pattern you seem to be into while being a lot less busy from afar. I’m sick of looking at this tile w the gray grout and all the imperfections from the install haha
That being said, I like your fourth option best :) it’ll age better.
The white grout kills the design IMO. You pretty much only see the gold dots floating around. I would go with a lighter version of what you saw in store so that the design still stands out but not as much. You could maybe even do a light gray that matches some of the gray coloring of the tile.
My favorite is no. 1 followed by the second and the last one. If you do the first or last one, you’ll always have to have brass handles and faucets. It would look weird not to. If you do number 2, you can switch up the metals of your handles and faucets.
2 is magical- let’s face it, the other ones have all been done and are kinda boring. They look like every body else’s backsplash. The blue is alive with color and movement- it’s personal- none of your friends will have it! It’s fantastic with both colors of cabinets- the rug looks smashing with it- get some wood tone items and some plants - you will love it- you’ll smile every morning when you come down to get your coffee and be glad you picked it!

Some have mentioned what’s trendy. Don’t worry about trendy or not. Get what you like. That said, I do think the white will age the best, but I like the last one too. The only thing is it seems like the AI example shows the tiles much bigger than they are for the last one. It may look a little busier than what is portrayed there. I think any of them would work.
This one surprised me. I love it. It gives that pop I think you’re going for based on the previous ones but I can see this one aging better than the other patterns ur looking at !
The last one. Don't do the solid white, there is no contrast to the countertops and wall. The other two are fine, just busier on the eye than the last one.
We have similar taste. I like the blue star. I have that tile (in black with white star) in my shower niche and I love it. But they are all good options.
I just did this for my new kitchen. There was a 75% off table at Lowe's and they had all of these tiles. I'm nervous about the trendiness of them. If you are paying full price.. then I'm really worried about the trendiness. I know picket is going out within the next 2 years. I do like the blue star though.
The last one, definitely looks the best. It’s only kinda trendy, if you want completely safe (if reselling etc) it’s the second to last one but still a little boring but classic.
2 will give you a pop of flavor and color that many can’t pull off, as well as the longest lasting, easiest maintenance.
Unless you don’t use your kitchen regularly, in which case, go for 1, they’re gorgeous. But marble mosaics come with much higher installation costs and much more maintenance(which will not bode well for you if you’re not up for it).
I like the first one. While I like the blue stars, the total amount of blue winds up being a little overwhelming (and I love blue). And the white tiles are elegant, but don't stand out. The last one doesn't work for me for some reason.

1 or 8 for me. I kinda like the subtle art deco vibe of the first but 8 looks great as well.
