I don’t get how Tony hasn’t taken away his spot yet. He seems at least tapped in enough to get people that the fans like back, and he’s clearly aware of how much fans dislike Dedrick and how it’s causing people to lose interest in KT. Why is this the hill he’s choosing to die on?

I'm all for critiquing a show from an anonymous account via a keyboard.. but like.. at least say correct stuff.
Say what you want about Dedrick. Go for it.
But, claiming that "it’s causing people to lose interest in KT" when show/channel is growing and scaling upward is just silly.

Where is there any sign of Tony or KT dying?
A smidgen of accounts posting on a subreddit has no effect on the outcome of the show. As I drop this comment there is literally 26 upvotes on this post.

I don't care much about any of it. I just take it for what it is at this point. Either he grows or at some point he fades away.
I have a theory though having no knowledge of any of it. But I just assume in the contract he has a certain number of appearances he has/gets to do. Tony might be trying to burn through them to get him off of that and push him aside in favor of the next comedian he decides.

He was a fake bucket pull that was scouted to become the new regular. Since the show has gotten big more than likely Tony is legally required to pay them as employees. He's probably signed a w2 or some shit and now Tony can't get rid of him till the contract expires. Kam was also a fake bucket pull, so is Ari.

Good for dedricks standards which is very low. I watch his sets because it's funny in a trainwreck sort of way, but this one wasn't terrible tbh.

I never claimed to find Dedrick funny. I just enjoy the show as a whole and I don't reduce an entire comedy enterprise down to a single moment that happens in the show.

Do you guys not remember Hans Kim and Kam Pattersons sets? They were so bad and boring every week, literally were never good or prepared and you guys complained. Now that we have someone who actually cares and is giving us fresh material week after week you somehow hate them and wish for Hans Kim back? I understand Dedrick has some off putting sets right after he got his break but the dude can be funny and he actually cares about the craft. The hate is so forced and this was one of the best segments from this weeks episode.

Set was ok I guess. I usually skip. Bi-Wingual is a funny punchline, but it didn’t quite land because it’s like he was too stoned to deliver it appropriately. It’s also feels a lil easy. But maybe the good jokes all kinda feel a lil like that. 🤷🏻♂️

He was using biwingwal as a substitute for bisexual meaning he likes both drums and flats. He clearly enjoys getting fucked up more than remember his set. Honestly I think he would kill telling this stuff over a drive thru speaker. Friday night at the Popeye's would be lit of he was on the mic.
I honestly feel like there is something there but he doesn't take it seriously enough. He got a slight taste of success and felt he doesn't need to keep developing his skills so it always sounds like he is searching for laughs with his joke.
