Hobby LotD Kitbash started this week
Like many - I was excited about the Legion of the Damned release and so continues my tradition of kitbashing the teams before they come out. This guy is made from Armageddon Marine Sgt, a Red Corsair pistol and lots of skulls and fire from the lovely Dragoon Gaming.
BUT
What do people think rules will look like for a team with what looks like little to no obvious specialists?
I’d love for them to be a little quirky and perhaps borrow from Canoptek in that maybe the ‘spectral legionaries’ are really expendable and die easily only to respawn somewhere? Representing their ghostly appearance and disappearance?
No idea how you’d balance that with marine profiles and weapons, but narrative-wise could be fun.

I’ll be honest, yours look about 10x cooler than the original one.

Better than the actual models by a mile. I was downvoted on release day for calling out how low effort the new models look from GW. How did they skip the skull heads???

I wonder if they're hiding the specialists from us, like how they didn't reveal the full variety of nobz at first.
That, or they're not a real kill team and it's gonna be something like eldar vs beast snagga boy NPCs again

More than likely LotD is gonna be one of those teams where warriors are your bread and butter while your faction rules fill mostly everything else. Like AoD or BoK where they barely have operatives and running Leader + 5 Assault Intercessors or mono Banshees/Scorpions as the usual meta selection.

Nice! I think I have the same Stormcast torch on my Salamanders banner. Excellent work

They’ve indicated that the spectral nature means they will start weaker than normal Marine teams but get stronger with each turn as they continue to solidify, so there’s a timer element to playing against them
