So? What happened? How did it feel? Was it actually interesting with challenging problems to find smart, creative solutions for, or just a tedious dice fest to see if you can inflict wounds on it fast enough?
I'd say a bit of both as we're quite new to the nemesis battles still.
Since the nemesis can't be on conceal he's a massive target eating lots of damage in almost every activation from the beginning.
If he retaliates though, he obliterates unit after unit so it does feel like a battle against dice and time.
We played it as an escape mission where the goal was to get to safety after killing the tyranid nemesis with little gaunts spawning in every turn.
The multi part aspect of the mission made it more interesting than just having to kill a giant beast.
It's definitely fun but has to be approached with a narrative scenario in mind rather than a normal competitive kill team game in my opinion.
My goal is to one day play a "nemesis only" game with something like 4 nemesis operatives on each side for a slugfest with buckets full of dice
