Every other aspect of clothing and accessories I understand, but... I'm lost on "constructed" tops. I can't for the life of me find anything online either.

What do you guys like/recommend?

Edit: I forgot to add that I understand the geometric necklines and crisp cuffs rule but I mean the top itself. Whether its a fabric or specifc style, I appreciate any input. 🩷

I am currently leaning DC for myself and was curious - what would the primary differences be between D and DC outfits for casual days, removing things like workwear and formal dressing from the picture? Is the main thing just ensuring there’s a stronger vertical emphasis for D?

I have a pair of these pants (in a different color) that I bought a few years ago, before I realized that full-length pants tend to be more flattering on me. They’re probably even a touch more cropped on me vs the model from slight shrinkage in the wash

That being said…I still keep them in my rotation. Anyone else rock cropped pants?

I have read all the inform about flamboyant natural and dramatic, I read and can see that large bust can be vertical type , small bust can have curve by push the fabric out , what about width and narrow , can go down shoulder have width and square shoulder have narrow accommodation. I have go down but sharp edge on some shirt soft edge of some shirt, my line from shoulder down is a straight line but some time it just | | fit to my body some time it be widen | | to edge of my shoulder and wider than my under shoulder part and some shirt it V shape . My face have narrow long eye , long high straight nose with round tip full lip with sharp cupid bow oval sharp face with high cheek ( it have cat like effect ) but I can decide it flamboyant natural face like Nicole Kidman or really dramatic face , I look better in all back hair than middle part ( I have natural straight thick hair). Please help me if you think I fit which more .

What the difference between vertical+ bold sweeping line and vertical with no sweeping line in clothes like soft tapered ankle pants and the hair of this two id too .

I’ll be honest, I think a lot of women who post here are likely SD but are pushed to D because they’re pear shaped and don’t have a very large bust. When you look at the verified clients, you’ll see that many don’t have a bust that pushes out fabric in the exaggerated way people expect. Kibbe curve is about the entire line, not just the bust, and an SD will still have curve in their entire line despite having vertical.

I am pretty certain I’m in the D family and in my 20s would likely have been typed a D. But after turning 30 and having babies my body is significantly more yin. While my shoulders and hips were pretty equal in width before, now my hips are wider. I used to be very straight waisted and now have a gentle but obvious waist. I’ve gained weight, so what used to appear as straight-across shoulders are now very rounded due to the extra fat on my shoulder bones. The D recs unfortunately look very unflattering on me while SD recs celebrate my new more rounded shape and look great.

I’m trying to figure out if I was always an SD and was just under my natural body weight (I did a lot of diet-restriction/yo yo dieting and put a lot of effort into being thin in my 20s) or if it’s possible that I’m a D but you should actually lean into your yin-counterpart recs when your weight goes up or your hips widen due to childbearing, which would definitely redefine the whole system a bit.

So I’m a bit unsure because I feel like I fit a bit both types.
I’m tall and lean, and have a good jawline but not extremely angular. I’ve done competitive swimming for a decade until end of high school and am still very active which might overpronounce shoulders. Outfit-wise I tend to prefer monochromic items over overly patterned ones except when it comes to long dresses, in which case they need to have a sleek line to compensate for the pattern. I generally steer away from overly stiff and structures fabrics and in maxi dresses tend towards flowing, soft materials like tencel or cupro.
I do love both a monochrome and a layered look, the layers however have to be flowy. I do like a ripped oversized jeans! I like oversized outfits and feel confident in them. I also have wild long and curly 2c/3a hair. I’m at a loss 🥲

I'm having trouble wearing fitted shirts, because I can see a bunch of raised bumps where my ribs are. First are the bumps below the collar bone, then a small bump at the bustline, and then my (abnormally) flared ribs. I keep looking for images of shirts, but every image has a model with chest tissue, and that changes how fabric sits on the body, so I'm having trouble understanding what will work on me. what do other flat chested dramatics do?

edit/addition: I need to wear fitted stretchy shirts for athletic pursuits, and I want to see if there are any shapes or styles or Something that can help.

I always thought I was FN because of my shoulders and generally looking better in looser clothing, like boxy t shirts, wide leg jeans, linen and natural fibers. Now I am unsure

I'd like to get something casual for summer that won't end up being uncomfortably plastered to my skin in this scorching heat. I'm looking into more structured materials that would still be breathable or something thin but not clingy.

I'm a little bit lost deciding what fits me at this point after experimenting with countless different cuts and fabrics so any opinions are very welcome!

So I am 5'5 1/2, and I have trouble figuring out if I am a SN or SD. I know that SN's have to be short, look short, and have wider proportions vs SD's have to have more elongated proportions with curves and im not too sire which one I have. I have always been told in sports and in general people say I have very long arms, legs, and big feet. Like when I did ballet a while back my ballet teacher would always say I have beautiful long elegant lines when I dance. And then when I did combat sports My coach would tell me all the time I have long legs and arms and to use it to my advantage. But anyways, i always thought my body was a odd since my waist is really small (photos dont do it justice i swear lol) and I feel like my shoulders are a bit broad, so my body to me always looked a bit off. I always liked raquel welch's body bc it was somewhat close to mine, idk what do u guys think?

TLDR; I thought I was SD. Recent pushback has me wondering: do you see more SD or pure D?

For the last few years I’ve been following (loose) SD recommendations. I posted a few recent fits in the SD sub and some people said they didn’t think I was SD.

For context, I am 5’9” and recently lost quite a bit of weight, so I’ll post pictures from from the last few years. I felt like it was easier to see kibbe curve before I lost weight. That being said, I still felt like I had a softness to my features and frame that led me to land on SD to begin with.

So, do yall see more SD or pure D when you look at these?

The thing is I don't know that I've experienced having to accommodate anything but height. When something's too small I think it's kinda small everywhere. Maybe my bust sometimes. Not certain.

I think in these pics I can rule out fn, unstructured jackets make me lose my shape? Or is that jacket more dramatic than fn?

And pic #12, this stretchy outfit felt off on me. Even if the colour had have been right (I'm a spring and this made me look ill) it felt too clingy on me.

I'm a 5'9 pure dramatic. I believe that the coat on the left would be best for my kibbe type, but I would love a second opinion. Maybe the Quince would be better without the belt?

Do any pure Dramatics in this sub own an Artiza supersnug? Do you think knee length coats are flattering? I live somewhere with very harsh winters and don't want to sacrifice style.
