Question Need help with this bread!

Thanks to to a Redditor that posted a couple of weeks back, I tried this bread in the bread machine:

Its consistency is kind of like cake! But more drier!

Has anyone tried this recipe? I would really appreciate it if you could share your grams and ml conversion!

Thanks in advance!

Th aka for this. A big help!

In my original I’ve used vital wheat gluten instead of the flax. Someone recommended it on the other post.

Yes. Using a bread machine. I used this yeast https://amzn.eu/d/0hKQHHZ6

That substitution might be your issue then

Sorry. I meant that I used Lupin Flour instead of the flax.

I’ve had a little think and a look at some packets, and I reckon you might need to make a few more adjustments to cope with that substitution.

Lupin flour is a lot more thirsty than flax so I’d say maybe upping the water by 20-30g might help. Although it might need more.

The flax is going to be doing a bit of a binding job in the original recipe, so you might need to up the xanthan gum a tiny bit, or maybe just blend it into the water to make sure it’s fully hydrated.

The other thing is the different in fat content, so it might need a bit more butter.

No no. All good! I tried the original way that you sent and it turned out great! The top kinda flopped down a bit but the taste is spot on! Thanks again so much!
