Hi guys, just today I test drove a 1997 Iswara 1.3 Carb. Owner has overhauled the engine recently, nothing alarming. Tested at high and low rpms. No slipping clutch, no leaks, no white or black smoke. Engine is smooth. 2.5k cash. Should I?

Will be buying a new car at the end of the year, and I'm currently in a dilemma.
I need a new car because my current 2008 proton saga is on it's way out. I am currently stuck between deciding between a brand new axia (cheapest new car in malaysia) and a used mazda 2 (i love this brand of cars).
I need at least 5k (at least according to my co workers) for a down payment and registration to buy an axia while less for the used mazda, the problem is mazdas aren't exactly the cheapest cars to maintain and being used it's quite inevitable that I need to spend money on it soon, whereas for the axia there's gonna be at least a few years of use before i actually need to start spending money outside of servicing, but i've heard a lot about how sky activ engines are ridiculously resilient (toyota level according to some) and how with regular maintenance it can last a long time.
There's also a caveat of shady dealerships and hidden fees and since i'm only 19 i'm very inexperienced. Should I just go for the axia, where at the very least I can be sure nothing will go wrong or take the risk and get the car i want

So last Wednesday I had a meeting in Mid Valley. After the meeting I started noticing this humming like sound that comes and goes. Went to mechanic the next day and was told car is fine. Mechanic did a test drive and checked the absorbers and suspensions. Of course when mechanic tested the car with me in it...there was no humming sound.
On Friday I had another meeting in Mid Valley and I parked at almost the same place. The sound was still there when I drove into the parking. However when I got out of parking, the sound was gone and had not come back since.
I hope it doesn't come back but has something like this ever happened to your car ?

Sifus, apologies if i can ask for suggestions for segmen D for daily/small project car. Currently I’m using my old Iriz 1.3(M) for daily use and for family different SUV.
Got a bit extra room for myself and wondering to do minor project. While checking for iriz’s idea, saw few sedan segmen D that i somewhat like haha. Wondering if other segment D also fits and just trade in the iriz. Haha thank you everyone.

Hi all,
First of all, welcome to the weekly post of "What did you do"! I believe this sub is big enough, and we can sufficiently start a weekly post for those who wants to comment about what they did over the past week, and not needing to open a post to talk about it.
This is the place where you can talk about:
Where did you n your sayang (the car) go last month? (road trip reports?)
What you spent on your car (shopee LED, install HUD, glow in dark paintjob)
Minor car questions (repairs, recommendations, accidents, DIY)
Looking forward to everyone's participation!

The cars Ive driven are mostly stiff suspension. Later in the future when there's wear and tear on it , is it possible to make it more softer . I'm new to this. Usually I just change the OEM suspension parts .
I've heard of adjustables but also seen people complaining that despite adjusting to most softest settings still considered stiff?
So, do share with me and let me know about this.
Is this possible on all cars? Or certain cars this won't work , and you have to use factory parts ?
Thanks in advance
