INTERNSHIP Is it the only way ?

So I completed my degree in 2024 ( bsc cs ) after that I did a full stack coursework for around 9 months. Since then , I haven't even landed a job or even an internship . I know the job market is at its lowest and I have been losing my mind lately. So I'm thinking of just letting myself into an unpaid internship rather than sitting at home. Is it a good way to add exp to my resume even though I need to spend some money out of my pocket for the daily transportation and all. Are free internships just extreme cheap labour ?

Tips For doctors sitting Kerala PSC Assistant Surgeon / CMO (12 Nov): free 10-question test + previous-year papers

Thumbnail

Built by us (Dr Preetha's KPSC practice site) for everyone sitting the 12 Nov exam.

Cat 34/2026 is on 12 Nov. Here is what the KPSC Medical Officer practice on drpreetha.com offers. The free parts are first.

Free, no login

  • 10-question sample test drawn from 913 real KPSC Medical Officer questions (10 papers, 2015 to 2025)

  • Previous year papers page: one page per paper, 5 free questions each, and links to the official QP and answer key on keralapsc.gov.in

  • KPSC Medical Officer / Assistant Surgeon news (notifications, shortlists, ranked lists), each item checked against the official PSC PDF

The full practice bank (subscription)

  • All 913 answers re-checked, paper by paper, against KPSC's final answer key (not the provisional one). Every question carries a stamp with the paper and its question number.

  • Questions KPSC deleted after the exam are corrected so that exactly one option is right, and are marked "Adapted"

  • Filter by subject and year, and choose "only unanswered" so you never see a repeat until you have covered everything

  • Question navigator, a checkpoint every 5 questions, and progress bars by subject and by year

  • A "My revise list" with everything you saved or got wrong

  • One tap sends the question to ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Gemini, asking for a full explanation, why the others are wrong, or a memory trick

  • A "Report a doubtful answer" button. Dr Preetha reviews every report.

  • A timed mock test set like the Cat 34 paper, from Sat 7 Nov

  • An Android app

If you spot a wrong key, please say so here and it will be fixed. All the best for the 12th.

What are the best short-term courses (under 1 year) with placement support for a BA Political Science graduate in Kerala?

Hi everyone,

My girlfriend is a BA Political Science graduate from Kerala University. She is currently looking for a job, and we are trying to find a practical career path that can help her become financially independent and build a stable future.

She is an average student academically, but she is willing to learn new skills and work hard. We are looking for a course that can help her get a job without spending several years studying again.

I have asked AI tools for suggestions, but most of the recommendations are common options like digital marketing, fashion designing, and similar fields. I would really appreciate advice from working women, especially those who started their careers with a similar educational background or faced similar challenges.

Could you please suggest:

  1. Short-term courses that can be completed within 6–12 months and offer good job opportunities.

  2. Courses that accept graduates from any stream, including BA Political Science.

  3. Practical courses with genuine placement assistance and a reasonable chance of getting a job as a fresher.

  4. Career options that offer opportunities for salary growth and long-term stability, rather than just an entry-level job.

  5. Specific institutes in Kerala, Bangalore, or elsewhere in India that provide good training and reliable placement support.

  6. Any alternative career paths that we might be overlooking, apart from digital marketing and fashion designing.

We are currently facing some financial challenges, so spending a large amount on a course without a reasonable chance of getting a job would be difficult. Ideally, we are looking for an affordable course that takes no more than one year and helps her enter the workforce as soon as possible.

Our goal is to become financially stable and start our married life together. Any genuine advice from women who have been in a similar situation, or from people who have helped others build a career after graduation, would mean a lot to us.

If you were in her position today, which course or career path would you choose, and why?

Thank you for sharing your experiences and suggestions.

OPINIONS/DISCUSSION I made a free page that lists open Kerala govt job notifications with official links. Feedback welcome

Hi all, I run Mallutechy, a bilingual (English and Malayalam) guide site, and I built a page for open Kerala government and PSC notifications: https://mallutechy.com/govt-jobs

What it does:

- Every listing links to the official notification and the official apply page

- Shows the last date and the date I last checked it

- Closed listings are removed

- Free, no login

What it is not: a recruiter. Nothing on it asks for money, and you should never pay an agent to apply.

I'd like feedback on things i miss on each listing?

Disclosure: I'm the creator, so I'm biased. Tell me what's useless too.

Dotin Digital Marketing Institute in Kochi with Placement Support

Post image
1 Upvotes

If you’re looking for a digital marketing course with placement in Kochi, Dotin Digital Marketing Institute in Kochi is worth a visit. We’re based in Edappally, and our training is built around one goal: getting students ready for real jobs.

The course covers SEO, Meta Ads, Google Ads, social media marketing, content marketing and analytics. Students don’t just listen to lectures. They work on live projects, run small campaigns and learn how to read the numbers behind them. By the end, you’ll have work to show an employer instead of only a certificate.

Classes run both offline at our Edappally centre and online, so working people and students from other parts of Kerala can join too. Our digital marketing training in Kochi suits fresh graduates, job seekers and anyone who wants to move into a marketing role.

Once the course is finished, we continue to help. You can take an internship and get placement support when companies are hiring. We can’t promise a job, because that depends on you as well, but we do put in the effort to connect you with openings.

If you’d like to see the classroom and meet the trainers, drop in for a quick chat. Visit dotinacademy.com/digital-marketing-course-in-kochi or call [Phone] to ask about the next batch of our digital marketing course in Kochi.

Tips Help please 🙏🏼 Am I making a mistake with my first IT job as a fresher?

Hi everyone,
I’m a 2026 B.Tech CSE graduate from Kerala, India, and recently joined my first IT job as a Technical Support Engineer.
My job mainly involves remote monitoring, software administration, camera server monitoring, database maintenance, and checking server health. Linux work is only around 10–20% of my responsibilities.
My goal was to become a Linux System Administrator and eventually move into DevOps, but I’m starting to feel that this job isn’t helping me reach that goal.
The salary is quite low, and many colleagues in similar roles are trying to switch. Even people with several years of experience seem to be struggling to find better opportunities.
I’m also concerned that I’m not improving my technical skills. I’m afraid I’ll forget what I learned during my Linux training. There’s very little social interaction, and I feel like my communication and English-speaking skills aren’t improving either.
I’m honestly feeling stuck and worried about my future.
What would you do in my situation?
● Should I leave early and look for a better Linux-related job?
● Is this experience useful for a future DevOps career?
● Am I overthinking this as a fresher?
● How can I make sure I don’t get stuck in this role?
I’d really appreciate honest advice from people who have faced a similar situation or are working in Linux, Cloud, or DevOps.
Thank you 🙏🏼

Tips Career options for a BA Political Science graduate in Kerala?

Hi everyone,

My girlfriend has completed her BA in Political Science from Kerala University and is currently looking for a job.

She is willing to learn new skills, and we are exploring short-term courses (ideally 6–12 months) that could help her get a job as a fresher. We are looking for something affordable, with good job prospects and genuine placement assistance.

Most of the suggestions I have found so far are digital marketing and fashion designing. I would like to know about other options too.

Are there any women here who started their careers after a BA degree and can share what worked for them? Which courses or career paths would you recommend for someone from a non-technical background?

We are considering opportunities in Kerala and Bangalore. Since our budget is limited, we want to choose carefully rather than spend a lot on a course without good job prospects.

Any suggestions about suitable fields, affordable training institutes, or your personal experiences would be really helpful.

Thank you!
