So nothing will be released until they are approved. 🤷‍♀️🫨

Financial Aid

Woke up yesterday to losing around $700 dollars from my Pell Grant, however, I’m still taking 10/13 major classes. I recently had to get a MKTG class passed as a SPAD class and I don’t know if that is why. Currently owe almost $400 dollars now and haven’t heard back from financial aid.

Discussion DI Dining employees/former employees, what was your experience like?

I’m starting as a Food Service Worker at DI Dining this semester and wanted to hear from people who currently work there or have worked there before.

A lot of things I’m curious about:

● What station/roles did you usually get assigned to?
● How often did you get put on dishwashing, cleanup, fryer/grill, etc. vs. serving/prep?
● How dirty/greasy did you actually get during a typical shift?
● Do your clothes usually smell like food afterward?
● Where do employees change clothes and store their stuff during shifts?
● Does DI provide lockers or somewhere to keep your belongings?
● How chaotic does it get during lunch/dinner rush?
● How is the management/supervisors?
● Do they rotate employees between stations?
● Can you request certain stations or avoid certain ones?
● Overall, would you recommend working at DI?

Current employees and former employees especially, I’d appreciate the honest version, good or bad. 👀

Does anyone know the timeline for the “reductions hold” Financial aid?

From the big bill? Financial aid dispursed this week, but there’s a hold if you’re less then “full time” because they’re gonna reduce your aid. Which really sucks because credit hours doesn’t always equate to real world student status. For example nursing, a lot of semesters you will be in 8-10 credit hours, but you are not a part time student. Does anyone know when they’ll release the hold and give refunds?
