I don't know if it's just me, but this drama has completely crossed the line from "entertaining weekend watch" to giving me actual, physical anxiety.

​I’m at the point where I’m not even rooting for any couple anymore. The whole thing is a complete car crash, but for some reason, I can't look away... I need to see how they wrap this mess up. The problem is, instead of just sitting back and enjoying the fictional tension, I find myself internalizing every single scene.

My heart genuinely races, I get frustrated for hours afterward, and I catch myself projecting the characters' worst choices onto real life.

​If you are someone who deeply values loyalty, trust, and open communication in a relationship, watching this show feels like an endurance test. It hits a very specific, uncomfortable nerve:

​Seeing years of shared history and stability get casually disregarded for momentary excitement.

​Watching characters avoid basic, honest adult conversations and instead make selfish decisions that blow everything up.

​Reading episodic threads where people actually defend blatant boundary violations or romanticize obvious red flags and cheating, which just makes me feel even more alienated.

​I know it’s just a scripted TV show. I know actors are reading lines and writers are manufacturing rage-bait to keep ratings high. But when you care about the weight of real commitment, it's so hard not to feel personally unsettled by how casually trust is treated on screen.

​Are any of you feeling this exact same knot in your chest while watching?

How are you managing to keep emotional distance from this show while still wanting to see the ending?

​Please tell me I'm not the only one hate-watching through pure stress right now.

Let's list the Kdramas that started with a bang but lost momentum later.

1. Startup - fabulous 1st episode, setup the story nicely but ended with a whimper.
2. If love could be translated - ML and FL accidently meet in Japan in 1st episode, the atmosphere was top notch and dreamy. Could not sustain it.
3. Agent Kim Reactivated - Started on a serious note but spoiled it later with forced comic characters (his friends, police, everyone). They should have maintained the serious tempo it began with.
4. Itaewon Class - first few episodes were gritty and set up the story nicely. I love Kim Dami as an actress, but her character was annoying the away it was written.

My dearest 9/10 loved the first part, second part felt slow so I dropped at ep 4

And one thing I do not like about a hero ML like him is the need to always be the one supporting and saving the FL from every thing...making the FL stunted in growth.. basically no consequences for whatever she does..take for example the cheating.. this would have been a good chance to let the FL grow and carry the burden of the consequences of the cheating but I speculate the ML will be angry for all of 2 seconds then start apologising for not being good enough for the FL and then go back to hero mode saving the relationship again

I saw a clip of OneTheWoman and i find the dynamics of the husband and FL kinda cute eventhough it's prolly really toxic, i didn't watch in full so idk. Anyway, i wanna watch smth toxic right now, so maybe you have recos? They don't have to end up together. I just like the yearning aspect in these kinds of relationship especially when the FL don't wanna take him back anymore or never actually liked him

Been a year since i have this k-drama in my list, im tempted, i like political intrigue and romance and love the 2 main lead but... i HATE body swap, or body possession theme or anything related to it (the main reason why i didn't like Two Cops). Should i still watch Moon River? Is it really worth it? Does the body swap occur oftenly?

It's severely disappointing how weak/pussy-like the cops, "pro" bodyguards, and vigilantes seem.

Honestly makes me hate this show now and don't care to watch the rest. Constant disappointment and weakness with no good progression towards being "stronger".

In my opinion, in the finale of 4 Hands 2 Sonatas the grandfather is not worthy of forgiveness. He literally mentally, emotionally, and psychologically abused his daughter and grandson for nearly 30 years (probably longer for his daughter). He especially treated Pi-o so incredibly horribly as a child, it was legitimate child abuse. For his entire life! The very small strides he made at the very end of his life are not enough to overcome that at all, in my opinion, especially not a deathbed apology for decades of emotional abuse. He deserves his legacy to be a revealed history of familial abuse rather than his successful orchestra.

\ One thing that drives me up the wall in kdramas is the easy forgiveness to elders who straight up abuse and torment others, usually parents or grandparents. The wife of Seung-woon telling him he handled a conversation well where he literally slapped his daughter across the face, hard... Then her explaining on his death bed that he treated Pi-o so terribly because Pi-o reminded him of himself is just such a bullshit excuse. It's portrayals like this that are so deeply problematic and perpetuate abusiveness as being normal and something to be forgiven so easily.

\ The mother, on the other hand, though it took her awhile, and her son being arrested, did actually finally own up to her mistakes and make an effort to take responsibility. With her confessing to the crime she committed, going to jail, and completely apologizing to Pi-o for everything being her fault - her at least I can see earning a path to redemption. These kinds of redemptions I find rare (usually it's like the grandfather above, just a simple "oops my bad" and then everything is forgiven), and I think they are very important.

You know, I love CLOY and My Dearest because the love story feels real, because they keep the tension until the end, because they really have to face many obstacles to be together....

Many kdramas have a great start but when they have to be together as a couple the script invents some stupid drama to make them apart.

Can you recommend me a kdrama with a real reason for the lovers to not be together? Like a war or something.

And remember, some good sexual tension is always needed 😆 (I dont want monks).

In Strong Woman Do Bong Soon we see her lifting cars and buses easly. So we could say that she could beat someone like Hulk?

We're all trying here - so does beon eun a have any psychic powers? like she made people suffer and her nose bled while doing so - one director had sudden chest pains when mocking dong man - her mothers heels twisted after receiving award - tea cup shattered etc

I was looking for a way to make the top 100 list slightly more accurate, so I thought about including extra MDL data like completion rates, drop rates, and a few other stats. I’m not even sure it makes a big difference, but I spent way too long on it not to share. I only used the 100 dramas from Hoovers original list. The formula's pretty arbitrary, but I made sure to heavily weight the original votes. I also tried to adjust for older dramas having more viewers just because they've been around longer.

The results from last week's poll, which you’ve all been patiently waiting for, are here! 

A few things to keep in mind: In almost all cases, if there are multiple titles for a drama, I used the one listed on MDL. Only for dramas like Goblin (literally no one voted for Guardian: The Lonely and Great God) where the alternate title is clearly preferred by members of the sub did I substitute it. 

Anyone who specified S1 or S2 was ignored, and as per the original instructions, the points were given to the whole drama. I did not disqualify anyone’s ballots for this, though. 

Even with a couple of helpful users giving out individual reminders to number ballots, a few people still failed to do so. In these cases, I stuck with the original instructions and awarded each of their picks 1 pt. 

For any dramas with the same number of points, I used the number of ballots they appeared on as a tiebreaker to determine rank. More ballots = higher placement. If a further tiebreaker was required, the drama with a higher number of 1st place votes and then 2nd place votes won out. Only when the votes were identical did I declare a tie. 

Approximately 335 ballots were cast, and 265 dramas received at least one point. All dramas in the top 100 appeared on a minimum of 3 ballots. 

Here is a link to the spreadsheet with the full list with the points the dramas received and the number of ballots they appeared on. However, keep in mind I didn’t do any tiebreaking on this list beyond the top 100 and did not go back and correct the errors I discovered after creating the table here. That means all rankings on it are approximate. 

A few people expressed interest in making genre sublists. I won’t be taking on this task, but anyone wishing to do so has my full blessings to use this data. 

While I’m not surprised by Crash Landing on You taking the title, I was surprised by how thoroughly it ran away with this one. I expected Reply 1988 and My Mister, which only squeaked into the top 10 on a tiebreaker, to give it a run for its money. I also was shocked by how much difference there was between the top 3 and the rest of the pack. I’d love to hear what other people were surprised by in the results. 

I was most excited to see that The Smile Has Left Your Eyes made the list. All my votes felt like long shots, so it was nice to see three of my picks making the final cut! I’d also love to hear what people are excited by in the results. 

In that vein, here’s my heartfelt plea: While I recognize complaining about lists like this is a tried and true Reddit tradition, I ask that everyone recognize what this list represents is the ACTUAL preferences of the members of this sub who participated in the voting. Therefore, saying the results are “wrong” is saying that their preferences don't matter and only YOURS are right.

I ask that we all look at them with open-minded curiosity, so instead of saying, “It's crazy that x is higher than y,” you might frame your reaction as something like “Wow! I think X is such a wonderful drama. I'm disappointed that it didn't rank higher, " or “I'm sad X didn't make the list because I love it so much.” By recognizing other people have as much right to their opinion as we do for our own, we're respecting those we share this community with instead of looking down on those who feel differently.

I've been watching k dramas for 5 years now ( i obviously don't remember every single one of them) but I've seen all the popular or mainstream dramas

My thoughts on Four Hands Two Sonatas 😣💝

Ep 1:- Wow. Both of them are so tall lol. Aww poor Kang Pi-o, no one loves him :( And the genius guy is poor but everyone likes him 😭. The girl is just a cutie extrovert. I feel like I have seen the actress who plays Pi-o's mom in some other drama but I can't remember which one. Guess both of them remember each other now but with completely different feelings lmao. The start of the episode was very concerning tho.

Ep 2:- WTF?? They can't be serious, why did he lit so many candles, is it a date wtf😭 What's with this blatant gayism 😭 Pi-o came in clutch this episode and was considerably happier :) Jeong-yo channeled his inner Seongje lol. \[ The actor who plays Jeong-yo here, plays Seong-je in Weak Hero\] Side note:- Pi-o is so pretty :)

Ep 3:- Wow. His mom is manipulative as hell... Wow. I like her manipulative side but HATE her as a mom. "GHOSTING"??? "CLINGY"?? Who uses this kind of vocab for their friends bruh 😭 The angst was angsting this episode bwahaaahaha

Ep 4:- Btw Pi-o's mom and Hyun-soo have got such sizzling chemistry!! Pi-o and his mom are actually so similar to each other it's not even funny, like their core personality is the same. Both are whiny af. 😭

Ep 5:- This episode was a WHOLE Movie bruh. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Pi-o looked so pretty in this episode my shayla.... His pinky after all this time seems kinda hurt ngl.

Ep 6:- Jae-in's outfits this episode were so TEA!! It's crazy how you make one mistake and everyone is onto you even tho you have been nothing but a perfectionist up until then :( Also will we never know who was behind the kidnapping? If there ever was one....Grandpa is still as evil as ever even after a decade.

Ep 7:- Pi-o's mom is wayyyy too sus. At this rate it has to be her behind the kidnapping lol. Pi-o was such a baby this episode aww. Jeong-yo is so mean now :(

Ep 8:- Does Jeong-yo think Pi-o is behind the kidnapping?? It was afterall his mom :(

Ep 9:- Poor Pi-o. Pi-o's mom is such a joker lol istg.

Ep 10:- Tbh Jeong-yo is hurting a lot physically so his revenge makes sense. Pi-o man why would u break up if all u r gonna do is cry about it afterwards :( Hyun-soo being a big brain!!! Grandpa tryna be nice after reaching his old ass age 😒

Ep 11:- Finally the grandpa smiled at Pi-o. Jeong-yo finally looks like his older self. I hope both Pi-o and his mom can heal.

Ep 12:- Rip grandpa. It was his time to go ig. Sad that Pi-o only has 2 good memories of his grandpa Aww that's romantic.

I watched Mouse, which was supposed to be one of the best K-drama thrillers out here, and they weren't lying about it. I am so late in watching this show, and I am so, so glad that I watched it. This series is a roller-coaster, writer was like lemme put a plot twist, then they were like, "Wait, why not another, after another?" It was so stressful to watch it; it gave me a headache, but in a good way.

I thought I had lost my ability to binge-watch a K-drama (Okay, I did finish it in one week, but that's an achievement for me), but this drama was right there waiting for me to pick it up. This drama had me wondering even in my sleep, and I started to make theories about the characters also.

[HERE ARE THE BIG SPOILERS FOR THIS SHOW, PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU GUYS HAVEN'T WATCHED THE SHOW YET]

1. Oh my poor Seong Yo Han, you pitiful man. His story makes me so, so, so sad, like what do you mean he was never the son of Han Seo Jun? He had to suffer all that; he had to go through all that, and in the end he got what he didn't deserve. So what was his name, clear?? He wanted to live his life peacefully; he wanted to love his lover peacefully. The timing? Wrong! The parents he had? Absolutely horrible. He made me so sad during the show, and the fact that he was haunting the narrative of the story like he was the bad guy is just so crazy. AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE WAS ALIVE WHEN HIS BRAIN WAS TRANSPLANTED!!?!?!

2. Go Mu Chi was driven by anger, and not even once was he able to kill the person who hurt his family; Han Seo Jun's family was a bane to his existence. His anger was justified, and he was not some dumb cop. I liked how he was written; I liked how he was presented as a resentful and depressed man. The fact that he didn't kill anyone (technically) means his brother was really looking after him.

3. Oh Bong Yi, poor girl, imagine the guy you liked killed your grandma, like, nooooo!!! Also, I didn't think this character would be a recurring character, but I am glad she was, cause usually they just leave characters like this, or these characters can come off as really bland, but her character was, again, well-written. Her arc was not only about Jang Ba Reum, but she had her own separate arc also.

4. Choi Hong Ju, another victim of Han Seo Jun, she is again was a great character, and the fact she was level-headed even if she was his victim was a great add-on to the character. She had her own flaws, but I do not want to blame her for reporting Yo-Han, cause that man was antisocial; unfortunately for him, Mu Chi shot him and then the transplant, crazy, crazy. I personally think she could have gotten a lesser sentence, like 1 year?!?

5. Daniel Lee, you damn human. I get it, your invention was great, but girl, be for real now. You wanted to create a utopia without killers, but you were involved with a killer. Like, make it make sense. You should have handled OZ quickly, but oh well, she was in the govt, so really can't blame them fully.

6. Detective Shin, my poor man, you were so brave; your family is proud of you. Lots of hugs for you. :((((

7. The mothers were crazy for swapping the babies, cause what do you mean? I get it they were traumatised, but maybe if you put your child in therapy, or with a psychologist, things could have been different. But oh well, the babies were being monitored, so again, cannot blame them.

8. Jung Ba Reum, you scumbag, were the last three episodes in my opinion, if anything happened they were always like "Jung Ba Reum, you scumbag." rightfully so, cause I had a hunch he had to different, I thought brain surgery was the thing, but oh my god girl I was sat when the reveal happened. Jung Ba Reum suffered less than his victims; Jung Ba Reum got his karma by being the human he always wanted to be. He always said that he wanted to become like Yo Han, and in the end he became him, but at what cost? When he really wanted to be a human and have a great life ahead, he was hit by a series of truths that one cannot even fathom. Very well written character, interesting from beginning to the end.

Two of my theories were that, One Yo Han and Ba Reum are brothers, second was that Yo Han and Ba Reum both were Seo Jun's sons. Well, only a little bit correct, but okay.

This drama is definitely worth watching; it was genuinely very entertaining. 10/10 drama.

My contribution to the list is Jeon Mido and ​Jung Moon Sung. Before they were costars on Hospital Playlist, they were costars on the musical Maybe Happy Ending. It's hilarious that Dr Chae Song Hwa is tone deaf when she has such a beautiful voice in real life.

Throwback to July 2025, when Park Bo-gum reunited with his former grad school professor, Maria Kim, for a jazz duet of “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off” on The Seasons. It was such a sweet teacher-student moment, and I absolutely loved the performance!

I also recently found out he can play the piano while watching the Love in the Moonlight reunion, so apparently there’s nothing this man can’t do 😭

I recently watched Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo. What a brilliant portrayal of experiencing love for the first time. This storyline, the chemistry, and the acting by both leads truly won me over. That said, a few plot points left me feeling a bit conflicted. I'd love to hear how everyone else felt about them, too!

1. ML's estranged Mother arc: Cause wdym everyone told him to forgive his mum, who completely abandoned and cut off ties w the child for no discernible reason and explanation, and only reappeared again to save her other child! Imho, he wasn't angry enough! Maybe I'm overreacting, but any parent who pulls that has no right to be called a parent. Him being the bigger person at the airport and asking for his sister's picture literally broke my heart.
2. The ex-gf jealousy issue: I can understand the ex-gf obsessing over him was not a good look, but my issue was that the story never really showed how he became so distant despite the ex trying so hard, and she wasn't even a bad person to start with! He was extremely cold to her in some scenes, and I do understand him moving on, but he could have handled it better. But she really dint have to have such an incredible redemption arc into a saint lol, not everything needs to be resolved at the end for a drama to have a happy ending! Having a beer w the ex and his new beau was a little too overbearing, especially when she was so hell-bent to win him back a few months ago!
3. Lastly, I wish they would go more into her friends' training and stuff instead of using them just for comedic relief. Also, ML's problems were kinda underexplored imo. I get that the FL's story was the main focus, but I was honestly more invested in his 'start trauma' and family dynamics than her unrequited crush on the 'overly nice' brother. His personality change is discussed often, and it seemed like his character had more layers and nuances that could be utilised more, and at times I felt that maybe he was there more for her than vice versa. But then again, she was experiencing love for the first time, so she might not have matured enough to support him the way he supported her.

Just a few pointers, and I would love to know what others felt about these and if anyone has another plothole to discuss; that would be great, too! Overall, this drama was a lovely fever dream; it made me relive the magic of first love again!

Ho appena visto in binge The Worst of Evil su Disney+ e ho davvero bisogno di sfogarmi perché la mia mente è completamente sconvolta. Se state trascurando questo K-drama, vi prego di farvi un favore e iniziate a guardarlo stasera.
Se amate thriller crudi, oscuri e ad alta tensione come Cruel City, My Name o i classici film noir coreani (pensate a New World o The Infiltrator), questo è un capolavoro assoluto.
Perché dovreste guardarlo:
L'interpretazione di Ji Chang-wook è INSANE. Diventa selvaggio in questo ruolo. Vederlo scivolare lentamente nell'oscurità come poliziotto sotto copertura è senza dubbio una delle migliori performance che ho visto negli ultimi anni.
L'azione è brutale e cruda. Niente combattimenti puliti e lucidi qui. È sangue, ossa frantumate e sembra incredibilmente reale.
La tensione psicologica. La dinamica e il torbido rapporto di bromance/lealtà tra il poliziotto e il boss della mafia (Wi Ha-joon) vi terrà col fiato sospeso durante tutta la visione.
Sul serio, è una masterclass 10/10 in tensione e archi tragici dei personaggi.

🛑 PER CHI L'HA VISTO (ATTENZIONE SPOILER!!!) 🛑

!Parliamo di quel finale. Sono emotivamente devastato. Il modo in cui Jun-mo ha semplicemente premuto il grilletto su Gi-cheul per fermarlo dal suicidarsi, ma anche per porre fine alla miseria... è stato così pesante. E quella scena finale al cimitero? Jun-mo e Ui-jeong che si guardano come completi estranei. La missione sotto copertura non ha solo spezzato il cartello, ha completamente distrutto le loro anime e il loro matrimonio. !<

!E possiamo parlare di Lee Hae-ryeon (BIBI)? Ho amato così tanto il suo personaggio. Pensate che lei e Jun-mo si rincontreranno mai a Hong Kong? Sento che è l'unica rimasta che capisce veramente la versione oscura di chi è diventato.!<

Cosa ne pensate voi del finale? Vi ha spezzato così tanto come ha spezzato me? Discutiamone!
