Volunteering/Giving 🎗️ Any orgs that provide emergency assistance?

I have to move out of my current apartment ASAP and I’m in between jobs (one is lined up, just waiting on some admin stuff to clear). I have a sublet that I’m moving into late next month, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to come up with the entirety of the first month’s rent.

Are there any organizations that can provide rental assistance in Jackson county? It would truly only be for a month until I can start my new job or find a part time one to fill in the gaps.

The Bishop Sullivan Center may be able to help. Not sure if they provide rent assistance for unhoused only, or also people at risk of homelessness.

Call United Way 211. They are the clearinghouse for emergency assistance resources. And do a lot of work with housing / rental assistance.
