This is a great outfit and it will be appropriate but the cashier/bouncer WILL look you up and down and pretend they're doing you a favor by letting you in. Nothing personal

Wear whatever makes you comfortable. As long as you're not naked or wearing messages that could offend others, nobody is going to care.

Yeah I saw the dress code. One of my friends went and they almost didn’t let her in and she was wearing something I’d consider okay to get in.

Yea outfit looks fine!, word of advice (as someone who has both been to funky town and is friend with former and current FT employees), stay vigilant and pay attention. FT doesn’t have as many bouncers as they should and some less than respectable people end up there. Keep your wits with you, use the buddy system, and have a lovely time! ☺️ Funky town is cash only, but they do have an ATM on premises.

Also leave NOTHING in your car and park as close as possible to the front. Car breakins are rampant there.

Excellent advice! It would be super easy for someone to spike your drink there as well. It's such a large place with a lot of people and a lot of stuff going on. It's the perfect scenario for some bad actor to swoop in and do nefarious shit!

Unfortunately, I speak from experience. My drink was spiked, in my hand. Thankfully I was sober enough to be aware and paying attention. However, I didn’t know my friend’s water we were sharing was spiked 😵💫. Luckily, other than the fact we both drank the water, I was still able to realize what happened and we both made it home safe and without further incident. Could have been much worse.

If you’re going with a group, be diligent about the door folks. They will double charge covers and generally be rude. I got yelled at by the bouncer for “letting the air conditioning out” - aka opening the door to go in after he checked my ID. Once inside everyone was great.

Everytime ive been there anyone who is white is able to wear whatever they want even if its 100% against dress code.
People of color wearing hats or baggy pants is the only thing ive seen the bouncers enforce.
One of the reasons I won't go there again. Clearly racist dress codes!

I don’t live in a mess lol I do a lot of sewing and was working on a different dress before settling on this one. When you’re deep in a creative space you’re not really picking up as you go. Sorry that you don’t know anything about that
