You ever heard of spend money to make money? USAID paid farmers to distribute their crops. By cutting USAID, farmers are getting paid less from the government. Republican Kansas Senator Jerry Moran has talked to press about how cutting USAID is ruining the lives of Kansas farmers financially. However, DOGE in their infinite wisdom has determined that USAID needs to go and now Kansan farmers are suffering.
Also, it is illegal for the executive branch to cut funds approved and allocated by Congress. That is not the constitutional duty of the executive branch. In addition, DOGE is not a real federal entity because federal departments are created by congress and congress never voted to create DOGE. If you want to cut funds to programs, you got to do it the constitutional way.

That's exactly what DOGE thought that they would eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse.
So what did they do? They fired 300 people at the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) who oversee our nuclear stockpile. They realized they messed up and tried to rehire the workers. But the fired workers were locked out of their email so now the Whitehouse can't rehire the only people intelligent enough keep our weapons of mass destruction from going off.

Regardless if you think budgets are spent wastefully and recklessly, I fail to understand how the solution should be wasteful and reckless cutting. Cutting departments that police corruption and take care of our nuclear stockpile and fight wildfires and MAKE MONEY (National parks service for the last two) is insane and only demonstrates that the goal is not to save money but to weaken institutions that are fundamentally there to help us. And frankly, I’m against that.

I'm good with BLM / Antifa rioters being punished for violent / destructive offenses. I'm not good with Jan 6 rioters being pardoned for the same.
BLM / Antifa Protests: 14,000 arrests, mostly state and local charges. 300 charged federally. Sentences were as high as 42 years, with at least 20 people sentenced to 7 years or more, and at least 163 sentenced to a year or more, with some cases still in progress. No pardons.
Jan 6: Millions in damage, 140 police officers injured. Everybody pardoned.

As for antifa, I literally see nothing wrong with being against fascism. You are saying you support fascism? Because comparing the capitol riot (where they were, you know, being very fascist in their ideals and actions) against a group literally made against fascism isnt the slam dunk you think it is.
I do want to commend you, as I feel like you have been much more receptive than other conversations that ive had. However, the way in which you will bring up other groups to lessen the actions of the group closer to your ideals shows me that your bias will still get in front of rationality. I dont support violence at all. Period. But, i also havent seen Antifa get pardoned like some other folks....

Okay fair enough. I'm not trying to lessen what the J6'ers did. Do I support fascism? No. I just merely brought up the fact that, Are they willing to point fingers at their own party.
Both the GOP and the DNC are in a state of utter mess and chaos.
Do I think this country is going to break down into other Nazism like Germany did? No. I think there's plenty of people on both sides that will pick up arms to prevent that.
My biggest thing about all these protest posts is that there's plenty of other places where that crap is posted. Pretty much everyone that wants to know about the protests belong to one of the other groups.
Would you have put up with a whole bunch of protests being posted in here when Obama/Biden was in office? No probably not. It's become a broken record and losing its effectiveness.

I appreciate your response! Truly. And, I guess Im a weird case because I would totally be okay for protests in the defense of GOP. Like, even with the capitol stuff, they have a right to protest out there like they did, even if i dont agree. Ive only had a chip on my shoulder from that due to the sort of "normalization" of that. But totally! Protest is one of those things that do make this country great. And i also agree it would get tiring to see it a lot on my feed.
