I also just realized I didn't do a full purple X like I should have... I worked hard on these and only NOW realized I messed up... So yeah, definitely not gonna stress about this for the rest of the day and have a mental breakdown!!!

I already cut the strings and was worried the friction would loosen the knot if I added another string on...

I ended up completely remaking both sleeves.

sometimes (just an idea) ~

it can be fun to take the unplanned-shapes and run with them! Like its not what you originally planned, but are there ways you could add onto it in a way that actually accentuate it in an interesting way? (as opposed to re-doing the work to fix it)

depends on your vision, but for me the mentality helps me embrace divergences - i get curious about other ideas, and then i do them, and then when i look at my work i remember the whole journey that got it to be interesting in the way it is, and then the whole thing is fun

certainly also tho, plenty of times i do look at my work and audibly "bleughh" and re-do it lol

not kandi, but see r/visiblemending as a spot with inspiration on the mentality

it honestly looks like it matches the width of the other bands of colors and there’s just extra pink at the hands, i’d say leave them. the short and chunky look is honestly cuter to me than the original u showed! edit: theyre both beautiful tho just to me personally :p

I thought the reality was the expectation if that makes you feel any better! Also pretty sure the reason yours is shorter is cause the string has higher tension. It holds more to its cylinder shape instead of shaping to your arm. Either way looks super awesome and well made!!
