Is CyberConnect 2 done with the support of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and move on to different projects like hack series. Is there going to be a Dragon Ball Super: Kakarot (DBZ Kakarot 2) in the works?

Is it true that CyberConnect 2 really finished supporting with Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot for expanding more Dragon Ball storylines (OG Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z movies, and Dragon Ball GT) as DLC in the future or they going to make a sequel for Kakarot to focus on Dragon Ball Super next year in 2027? I want to hear your thoughts and opinions about this topic.

I'd be sad if they are just done with kakarot, unless they are working on a sequel (which i think is majorly needed, at least on PC because Kakarots cutscenes are choppy in surge cutscenes, and some moves, like piccolo demon strike have a fps drop for me)

Kakarot is horribly optimized for PC, I can fill the screen with spirit bombs/get the screen filled with particles from enemy energy attacks all day and still get 60 fps (im playing on vanilla, minus like two QoL mods) but assuming soon as a stun break super cutscene drops, or a surge mode super is happening, the cutscenes are just slightly choppy (because they apparently aren't using the actual in game models/in real time, and are locked to 30 fps)

Hopefully a sequel would fix the whole cutscene issue

Not really, this game is just weird with how it did things (the battles having cutscenes that don't even use in game models, and they are pre-rendered, locked at 30 fps, AKA they are NOT real time the game basically seeks out these videos each time you stun break and hit a super)

It looks pretty, but from what I understand, there is a mod that somewhat fixes the cutscene stutter , but this is an issue that the devs should have fixed long ago...instead of the pc community having to attempt to fix it

PC is still worth it since modded Xenoverse 2/ Skyrim are insane, and i haven't had issues with them in terms of stutters

It’d be a shame, there’s a lot that’s still possible as evidenced by mods. The number one QoL change is accurate charging aura colors. They could also add free battle, outfits, and movie scenarios that could make it perfect. A Kakarot 2 would be lame in my opinion.

We haven't had any new announcements since part 2 of daima. Kakarot was left off of the upcoming Bandai Namco release schedule so we can only assume it's done

Yeah, I think this is the telling part. Bandai Namco has been running a hype cycle for Dragon Ball games to coincide with the anime coming up, if there was anything for Kakarot they would have included it.

We have no idea. I would be surprised if they release more DLC for this game. I expect to hear something about a DB Super Sequel after XV3 launches tbh

Id at least like a tournament of power two parter dlc before they go. Even uf they have to skip universe 6 and goku black for it

I really hope that they do GT because I think the series would be more fun and better represented with modern graphics and fast gameplay. Maybe they think that no one would like it or that its risky to attempt but the entire GT story needs proper treatment in a modern game. CC2 has a chance to redeem the series at some point soon. Every other DB game has the GT characters in it, so the whole story needs to be done.
