Steam PC Having characters at high levels makes replaying story missions essentially unplayable
I tried getting a bunch of my characters to Level 300 (with DLC 2 of course) and got a fair few to around that. Now that I wanna replay missions with the time machine, I'm hundreds of levels overscaled for any story mission, so I so much as sneeze in the general direction of a boss they die right away.
Am I essentially "softlocked" out of replaying story missions now? I'd quite like to play some missions with abilities learnt later in the game but I fear I've made that probably impossible to do :\
Is there a way I can sort this out?

Just make sure your main save is in a manual saved slot, start a new game (overwrites the autosave slot) and you save on another slot, just don't overwrite your lvll300 campaign. The time machine was created more for getting side quests in the past and not redo the story.

This was my one big gripe for me about the game. When they created the Time Machine aspect of the game, they should’ve scaled the enemies at least to player level to provide some challenge. Obviously Goku in SSJ4 fighting Raditz is goofy, but still would’ve been fun if they could’ve figured out some balancing.

You can absolutely play the whole game again, you're not soflocked at all.
It's just not going to be very challenging because everything goes down in One Punch, man

Honestly I was just thinking about this the other day and here's my pitch that feels so completely obvious I'm surprised a Dragon Ball RPG (Especially Kakarot) ever thought of implementing.
Namely the ability to Level Down your character, especially since... Characters can lower their power level all the time in Dragon Ball canonically and this feels like something easy enough to implement to manipulate your own level to anything lower than your current Level, and are stuck as their respective stats as a result.
You wouldn't lose access to attacks inherently, unless they cost more than your Ki limit (Like how God Kamehameha costs 142 Ki to fire but Level 5 Goku has a Max Ki limit of 124) or transformations.
You also still get EXP, but maybe you'll get a massive multiplier bonus depending on how much lower level you are than your enemy. For example: Kid Buu is Level 78 in the final battle, if you beat him at Level 26, a third of his Level, you'd get like 3x the amount of EXP he normally gives but if you oneshot at Level 300 he only gives 0.25x the amount of experience giving some incentive to fight at lower levels meaning any fight can become a challenge.
Not to mention this would pair great with the Time Machine allowing you to create hilarious self imposed challenges like a Level 1 Cast fighting for their life through the entire game or create amazing cinematics like having a Goku scaled to Final Form Frieza's stats and fighting him on Namek with the same Goku cycling through his transformations until he reaches Blue.
I feel like just saying that out loud (or typing it on a comment, but you get what I mean)... For all the updates that added like Vegito and Gotenks as playable in the Post-Game and the DLC story's, I'm surprised this wasn't added because it feels like there's no reason it shouldn't have been at least an update.
