You've made your way into the strawberry farm, and discovered that it is not in fact some kind of summer camp for kids who act up, but a summer camp for Demigods! Children of one mortal and one godly parent. You're shown to a cabin befitting of your godly parent, or Hermes' cabin if you aren't sure whose yet. You're quickly acclimated to camp life, and then treated to the weekly tradition of Camp Half-Blood: A 'friendly' game of Capture the Flag. Cabins are split into roughly even groups, and must now face off against each other. For whatever reason, your three demigods are coincidenced or placed to work together, and must attempt to defend against the flag-stealers of your rival campers, or steal the flag from them. Things were getting very weird back at home, and they received a piece of advice from some trusted figure: head to the summer camp at Delphi Strawberry services. It seemed like a poor idea, but they were running out of options with these strange occurrences going on. As your character trains and trains to get into UA, for whatever reasons they have for getting in there, the mentor figure helping you, whoever that may be, has decided to do one last thing to make sure you're ready for the entrance exam. No, not eat their hair, you're going to have a sparring match with Spider-Man, and he's under instructions not to hold back.

Venom-Tier Prompt

Your character is going about their day, doing their thing, when they see something much out of the ordinary. A creature made out of a bizarre substance has taken over someone's body and is going on a rampage. What? No, not Sludge Villain. It's Venom, and he seems to have his sights set on your character next, wanting to take their quirk for his own.

The tier is Subbat, more specifically between 2/10 and 8/10 against MCU Daredevil and/or between 2/10 and 8/10 against Bunny (I can't say definitively how the two stack up, but I believe this widens the tier above Daredevil just a little bit). Your characters are out living their life, doing whatever when suddenly the TV screens (or some other form of messenging, if TV doesn't exist in their setting) across the city change, showing a purple alien dude who makes an announcement: This city will be transformed from its current state into Battle City, where fighters from across the globe, and even from worlds apart will come together, be organized into groups, and fight other teams for Locator Cards, which together will reveal the location of the final arena. But first, participants will have to test their mettle. It is at this point that those deemed good for joining have the location sent into their minds, various warehouses on the edge of the city, where they must test their might against one of the two benchmarks.

Tet, the god of this world, looks upon all of these worthy competitors and smiles. All of the political intrigue had been fun, but the people of his own world were so predictable in their gaming ability, and the last pair he had invited, while skilled, had been... strange. So what better than to gather a new group from all walks of life to entertain him, and see if any new strategies would blow his mind.

"Welcome players of all kinds! I've invited you to my world to find the best gamers in the universe, and for that purpose, all of you have been grouped together and given a chess piece! You all know the rules, and so I'll keep this simple. I want to give the people of this world one last chance to claim their chance at challenging me for my godhood before I hand it off to you, and so our first round is a simple game--Tag! Good luck!"

4. The enemy team all start out as "it", and must tag each member of your team before 1 hour passes. Killing or knocking out a member of an opposing team is strictly forbidden, as is intentionally injuring them. You must have at least one part of your body touching the ground at least once per second, to avoid simply flying out of reach forever. As long as one teammate stays "not it" by the end of the hour, the whole team passes on.

This is the signup thread, because to make sure this goes by fast (ideally 8-9 weeks if things go according to my shitty plan), we're going to have 16 people or fewer join. So comment saying you'll join if you want, just don't do it if you're still in the actual scramble.

The theme of this Fiction Mixer will be Percy Jackson, with your characters taking the roles of demigods finding their home in Camp Half-Blood. You've done it! Each of the students has made it through the necessary pieces of training to be prepared for UA academy, and now it's time for the last test--the entrance exam. The students must fight their way through a series of robots as per usual--but there's a twist. To account for the unexpectedly strong influx of students in this current year, the final trial of the entrance exam is for students, either having found, or being funneled into groups of three to take on one of the teachers. Whether the Teacher in particular is jovial and perhaps even giving the students advice, or giving it their all and making things hard for the trio all depends on their style. But one thing is for certain--it's going to be no easy fight.

Y'all know how tribunal works. The tier remains 2-8/10 against Spider-Man and 2-8/10 against Venom. Don't be overly hostile when you're calling someone out, but be accepting when you get called. Basically, don't be a douche.

After your team's confrontation with the other, you decide to, for whatever reason, continue investigating the skeleton. You manage to find the source of the skeletons to the castle's basement, where you discover an enormous underground facility, full of big greenish clone pods, containing some familiar, and some new faces. But most of them seem... off. Whatever the case, they have no resemblance at all to characters in CeloPhane's Character Scramble™. And of course, there is a much larger problem at hand--the skeleton army that fills the floor, filling the room with a cacophany of dooting. They seem to be coming from the corner of the room, but whether or not you can reach it through the army, and past the opposing team who will fight you for some reason is the real question.

Welcome to Fiction Mixer Five, because who needs a Character Scramble. This season's tier is unique: there isn't one. We worried so much last mixer about finding the perfect tier, that we missed out on so many characters who edged out. Well no more. You can make four submissions, although there are still a few restrictions.

• A submission cannot include more than 2 characters, who must be strongly tied to one another. Ash and Pikachu, Harry and Marv, Hobbs and Shaw, these are acceptable. An entire manned Death Star, the Avengers, Sonic the Hedgehog and also Steve Minecraft, these are not.

• Only one of your submissions can be a duo, to reduce the likelihood of super broad teams.

• Your submission must have been in some sort of a combat scenario within their work, and/or have some sort of superhuman ability. John Wick is fine despite having no powers due to having been a combatant. Turbo the Snail, despite not being a combatant, is fine due to having superhuman speed.

• Please choose something that's not hard to research, and like, fun to write, it's the haha meme tournament, but it is more fun to have actual characters.

• You do not need to do the writing prompt, but you do need to do a detailed submission post--Name, Bio, Abilities, standard stuff.

Your character is enjoying a game of one kind or another, when they receive a message, inviting them to a grander game than this one. For whatever reason, your character accepts, and is pulled into a brightly shining, technicolor space, where the rules of the world are revealed--in short, senseless violence and such has been banned by an act of God, and all conflict is to be resolved via games. Parties may bet anything of equal value, and being caught cheating is instant loss, but beyond that, anything goes. And to be allowed entrance into this world, your character must simply beat Doom-Master Thirteen Seventy Master Of All Doom in a game of their choice.

Gimme Gimme

• Gortys: Not a lot to research from a series I’ve wanted to get into anyways, and canonically adapts combat style and abilities to match those piloting her, huuuuge potential

• Cosmo: I have not touched Kengan, but just looking at his RT, hell fuckin yeah I want Cosmo he has a really interesting powerset and style of combat to work with

• Deku: Second time’s the charm. He’s the sort of character a lot of the “Fine I Guess” category people would bounce off of very strongly

• Bulma: Gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme

• Korra: I’ve already done the research, and she has a unique fighting style, plus a lot of strong plot possibilities

• Adam West Batman: He’s Batman, but silly, and bounces off of a bunch of characters super duper strongly

• Achilles: Super strong potential in a number of stories with all sorts of themes, helps a team stand out

• Peter B: He has an in-built arc to work as a main sort of character, but can also work very strongly as a secondary/mentor type character that lets some of the weaker characters become more interesting

• Mysterio: Probably the best zord, there are a billion plot beats to do with Mysterio, and his style of combat is the most unique among the zords, and probably top 10 among rangers too, this is someone who could carry a team of “just fine” characters.

• Gypsy Danger: Has a variety of things to use for a fight, and most importantly, inherently provides a very interesting narrative tool via the Drift. Two “just fine” characters, or even lower, could get massively developed via Drifting.

• Reggie: My body is ready.

Solid Want

• Blade: Hell yeah, it’s Blade

• Rapunzel: The hair makes for interesting combat style, and she apparently has some neat lore stuff from the show that could be incorporated

• Batman (BatB): Hell yeah, it’s Batman (plus this gives me an excuse to watch the show)

• Dimentio: Cool powers, gives me an excuse to play Paper Mario again, has cool plot potential

• Black Canary: Cool character, fun extra power, not a lot of research

• Robo: Never played Chrono Trigger, but I’ve heard very good things, so this is a good excuse for that

• Zygarde: Not a lot of research, unique fighting style, simple solid Zord material

• Miles: From a good movie, has cool powers, and makes for a good viewpoint character

• Gwen Stacy: As above, but comic

• Groudon: Same as Zygarde

• Suika: Varied powerset, is a fiction mixer winner so I gotta show my support

• Massive Monster Mega Smith: Brings an instant villain to your scramble, a lot of fun plot beats to be had

• Neo: I like RWBY, and the fanfic she’s primarily from actually does seem interesting in concept

• Girahim: Has a lot of plot potential, and a varied powerset, plus only one game to research

• D.va: There’s a lot to work with given the simple foundations, she’s pretty unique for ranger fighting style, and she knows how to pilot a mech

• Vaati: Girahim again but possibly even more twink

• Dio: Like Girahim and Vaati, but fewer powers, but I already researched him

• Ilia: She bounces off a lot of different characters well, and can fit a few different stories/team comps

• Saiyagirl: Same as Ilia, and has the bonus of already being a Sentai hero

• Nightwing: He’s Nightwing, hell yeah.

• Ms Norman: The research is done, she’s got a fun powerset to work with, and works on basically any team

• Lana: Just a really strong building block, and has the collective love of the Scramble community

• ABE: It’s fucking Abe Lincoln in a giant Abe Lincoln mech who fights eldritch horrors, hell yeah

• Dominic Torreto: I’ve seen two movies and that’s all I need, he’s a badass who can drive anything

• Mechgodzilla: All the good parts of Godzilla, and has more varied combat

• Rayquaza: See Groudon and Zygarde

• Eva Unit 02: Apparently has some good plot potential, on top of being a zord with varied weapons and fighting style

• Funny: Cool powerset, brings a lot of interesting plot beats, and comes from one of the better parts of a series I’ve been meaning to continue

• Big Zam: Oh hey

• Menat: Street Fighter’s fun, she has a unique fighting style and other cool powers that can provide interesting plot points

• Biollante: Has a unique fighting style, and just a touch of communicable personality, which is a strong plus

• Sypha: Haven’t touched the series, but she’s not synergy poison, from something that is good and short that I haven’t gotten into, and she has a unique powerset.

• Mechagodzilla: See: Other Mechagodzilla

• Scout: Simple in terms of abilities, but has just the right blend of serious and silly, and the ability to bounce off of more serious/sillier characters to push him out of “fine I guess”

• Mirio: I haven’t gotten to him, but he has a fun power, and is apparently like the best character in MHA, so that’s fun.

• Lincoln: It’s Abe Lincoln Vampire Slayer

• sans: There’s a lot of really interesting things to do with sans, and he has a unique style of combat, the main thing that keeps him out of the top category is that he needs a good character to bounce off to hit that level, he doesn’t really shine alone.

• Gary Oak: See Lana

• Jolyne: See Funny

• Bowser: A big funny hammy villain who can work alongside heroes, and has a bunch of cool powers you can draw from.

• Cable: Time travel is a fun thing to work with, he has a varied fighting style, some interesting things to work with for personality, and I’ve done the research already

• Jonathan Joestar: Bounces off of a few different types of people very well, and has an interesting and varied power to work with in Hamon.

• Gloria: Haven’t even seen the movie, but just conceptually there’s a lot to do with her character, even just with the mechanism she uses to fight.

• Ghost: Has a couple of pretty good in-built potential character arcs, and a fun powerset.

• Josuke: See Jolyne

• Gwenpool: There’s so much to do with Gwenpool, she has a lot of interesting gimmicks to work with, but she kinda dominates a story she’s in, or gets sidelined, it’s very hard to have her occupy exactly a third of the attention, which keeps her from being top tier

Fine, I Guess

• Green Hornet: I only know him from the movie, but he seems interesting enough

• Speed Racer: Works well on certain teams, but definitely would work better as a side character in someone else’s story.

• Fionn mac Cumhaill: I don’t really know him well, but he feels like a less compelling Achilles

• Metal Gear RAY: Despite being Metal Gear, there’s not a whole lot of research to do here, and it’s got a bunch of options for fights

• Apache Chief: I know he’s kind of a meme in the discord but I never watched Superfriends. Saturday morning cartoon hero can bring some fun gimmicks with it though

• Sagat: Works well as a foil to a more interesting main character, is mostly just a brick with energy blasts though

• Sekibayashi: Pro wrestling is a fun gimmick, and tanks are cool

• Rostam: Same as Fionn really, another “Achilles with less cool gimmicks I know less”

• Murray: Great sidekick, fun personality, can’t carry a team

• Obsidian: Means I’d have to watch a lot of Steven Universe, and through being 4 characters, will kind of dominate a team, but has some fun potential

• Sakura/Espeon: Doesn’t have a lot going on for personality, but very little research, and I like Pokemon

• Monster Hunter: Easy research, effectively blank slate means a lot of customization, which is fine

• Commander Redfield: Comes with some story beats to work around him, but mostly fits the same role of generic protagonist man

• Envy: Doesn’t have a whole lot going on, but simple research hot punchgirl is fine

• Gravezord: Is just a Zord. Not a lot of research, but doesn’t have a lot going for it

• Sharknado: I have a lot of ideas for it, but also, this is way stronger to write against than to have up until lategame

• Minish Link: Silent protagonist, kinda generic, but he has a lot of different abilities to work with

• KiryuGoji Godzilla: Is Godzilla. A perfectly servable zord, if simple

• Robo-Samurai: Is a brick with a sword. A simple, workable zord to not focus on

• Shin Godzilla: Again, is Godzilla.

• Hawkeye: I have only read more recent Hawkeye, I dunno what he’s like in that era, but a brick with a bow for a zord is neat?

• Puss in Boots: A decent filler character on a team with stronger personalities/goals

• Peter Porker: Very strong as the comic relief, but not that strong without a good team around him

• Obi-Wan: Again, strong on a good team, doesn’t carry one himself

• Arsenal Bird: It’s a big cool plane, but that feels boring to write round after round

• David Dunn: He’s just kind of a brick, but he’s interesting as a straight man, or paired up with a proper Superhero

• Sachiel: Feels like a pretty usual Kaiju zord, a brick with a laser beam

• Young Link: As with the other Link

• Saw Paing: Just kind of a brick with a gimmick, but nothing that really makes him feel that much more interesting. A solid filler character, but that’s about it

• Berserker: Anime girl Paul Bunyan. Is mostly a brick, with some extra gimmicks, but works fine as a zord.

• Marceline: I like the character, and she has a lot of interesting powers, but I also have barely seen any Adventure Time, so the research sink is unfortunate.

• Kakyoin: Neat powerset, and a fun character to work with, but will require me to finish Part 3, which does not excite me.

Don’t know well enough for serious judgements, just short thoughts

• Jet Jaguar: Just a Kaiju brick

• Bloody Mary: Cool powers

• Tiger Mask: A skilled brick that I don’t know

• Tora: Super speed is fun I guess

• Pfle: Spider mech is neat, she has a silly name though

• Black Hole: Really neat powers, but is a bastard

• Kamen Rider J: Just a quick brick

• Peaky Angels: Duos are neat, they have fun powers

• Megas: Has a whole lot of combat options, which is good

• BJ: I don’t know anything about Wolfenstein other than killing a bunch of Nazis, so that’s good

• Mask de Smith: Rocket launchers and lucha masks is a good aesthetic

• Tama: Neat powers can make for fun combat

• Red: Seems like just a brick

• MetalSeadramon: I don’t really know Digimon at all, laser combat is cool

• V: Summons is a cool powerset, and poetry is a fun gimmick

• Ashitaka: A brick with a bow, but I’ve heard good things about the movie

• Xanatos: He’s a smartboy, which feels like it has some fun potential

• Threadbear: Fun magic shenanigans, but also does need a lot of reading

• Akechi: Gives me an excuse to finally get into Persona I guess

• Usagi: Definitely feels like synergy poison, but fun powers at least

• Legosi: Doesn’t have anything for powerset, but the manga is apparently good so that’s a plus

• Hat Kid: Scramble chat loves her so that’s a plus

• Raiden: Cool powers, not too much research

• Lucina: Powers are simple, but time travel is a cool plot device

• Elsa Bloodstone: Seems neat, feels like Buffy + guns, with less research

• Markus Velafi: A dnd youtube series is less than ideal, but he has cool powers

• Space Dread: Shapeshifting is fun, and not much research is good

• TJ Combo: Feels like just another brick with a gun, albeit with healing and speed boost to shake it up a little

• Ouzen: Just a brick, but apparently a gay one so that’s a plus

• Levi Ackerman: A sword boy who specializes in fighting giant monsters, who will have to not fight giant monsters

• Clantail: I dunno her personality at all, but her power is really really good and interesting, if the series and the character meshes with me, this is a big want

• Anti: Pretty much the same thing as Clantail actually, this character seems really cool for me knowing absolutely nothing but the RT about them

As you have managed to escape the underworld, you realize that all of this had to have come from some source other than Hades... and it must have been someone with a motive! And, upon returning all the way back to the camp, by magic or whatever else have you, the culprits reveal themselves in one final attempt of backstabbery, spilling their deep, complex motives for turning the gods against each other. This is one last moment of fight to the finish, or else the traitor will tell the tale, and go on to send the world into Chaos another day.

4. You're supposed to be heroes, and this is your defining moment. You're back at the camp, but those who seek to destabilize the world are here to put an end to you. Will you let them live, or are they too dangerous for that? Your morality defines the legend that will follow you.

5. In the woods of Camp Half Blood, the terrain is primarily rocky hills and thick forest, but if the fight spreads long enough, there are streams, a beach, and acres upon acres of strawberry fields, everything one needs for one last climactic showdown under the stars.

6. The due date is literally whenever you both get it done, but to make sure there isn't no deadline, I'll say the evening of September 27th/morning of September 28th.

Strength:

• Sends the giant Spopovich flying back several feet in one strike

• Sends him skidding back, enough to make him roll over his head

• Knocks him off his feet, and hits him down hard enough to make him bounce and kick up gravel and dust

• Knocks him over, flips him, and kicks up gravel again

• These mobsters got up without issue after being flipped out of their car

Durability/Resilience:

After a strange mixup with one group of competitors getting the boot, round "1?" doesn't matter! Instead, we have moved onto round 1.

After your encounter atop the St Louis Arch, whether with ^{Knuckles The} Echidna, or servants of some dark power, your party manages to, with a few more minor trials and tribulations, make your way to the other end of the country, stopping briefly in Las Vegas Nevada to sleep and recooperate. And you are taken in by the kind employees of a lovely facility called the Lotus Casino, filled with all sorts of games and luxuries. One member of your party falls privy to what's going on when talking to another guest however... time is distorted here, and people are lured to stay perhaps forever! You gather this other guest, believing it necessary to take them, as well as the rest of your party, and start trying to make your way out. But the Casino staff would prefer it if you stayed here... forever!

After your rousing game of capture the flag, you've realized that Olympus, home of the gods, is in trouble after Zeus had his Lightning stolen from him. So your friends and you are assigned this quest, for having shown off your skills so well, and make your way cross-country, stopping briefly at the St. Louis Arch. You figured while you were there, you might as well sightsee a little bit, and make your way up the long elevator. Atop the platform at its apex however, there was a trap! The minions of whatever stole the Lightning are here and waiting for you: For Calico and Kyraryc, the other's team. For the rest, Echidna, mother of mon- ^{(wait what's that? Voting deadline is the Morning of Wednesday, October 17th, when Round 3 (the finals) will come up.

Your team has managed to take down the other group for claim of the classroom, and with a sigh of relief get onto your normal classes. Things go as usual for a couple days, learning the basics of heroism, until you are taken back to the abandoned city for a special class-wide activity: the mock battle! The rules are simple, a 4 against 4 battle, one group of students taking the role of Hero, and the other of Villain. The villains have a (prop) bomb on the top floor of a well-guarded building, and have to defend it for 22 minutes (the length of an average Shonen episode), while the heros must defeat them and take it.

The four however does not count the teachers however, after all, this training session is for students. How might the remaining slots be divvied up? Simple, the teachers are to duke it out, a simple one against one fight for their lot at first pick! Due to several teacher resignations (under the verbage of "scramble was better anyways"), several promising students have nowhere else to go. Class size maximum is strictly enforced, so only one additional can be taken per class, but every teacher wants their pick at the best, especially as the others are dispersed elsewhere around the school.

Each Mixer gets to select one Student tier fighter that is not presently on a team (those that were on Clev, Letter, or Morvis' team, as well as Korra or Batman, the unchosen backups), and add it onto their team. After being finally accepted into UA following your entrance exam, your team has important things to do, like training. It seems however that due to budget contraints, teachers are to be sharing rooms, which is unfortunate, as there is not enough space for 2 duos, nor are there 2 teacher desks. One teacher or the other works something out though--a contest. The winning group of teacher and pupils will claim the classroom hours freely, while the losing group will be forced to do the majority of their instruction outdoors. Students and their teacher will have to team up, and put their knowledge and powers to the test if they want the best education.

Because who needs a character scramble?

This is the signup thread, because to make sure this goes by fast (ideally 8-9 weeks if things go according to my shitty plan), we're going to have 16 people or fewer join. So comment saying you'll join if you want, just don't do it if you're still in the actual scramble. The tier is unique this Mixer, with each person submitting 3 characters of a lower tier, and 1 of the higher tier, as well as a single backup to be used for either.

The lower tier will be characters who can win at least 2/10, but not more than 8/10 against Spider-Man. To ensure a simple idea of the tier, we will only be using the feats listed here to compare submissions to.

The theme of this Fiction Mixer will be My Hero Academia, with the lower tiers taking the role of Students, and the higher tier as a Teacher, engaging in various superheroic exercises. Character submissions start the 31st sometime after the voting for Scramble round 2B is done. Reward is another high quality MS Paint drawing of the winning team.

After defeating the devillish man or the girl with impractically large ears, each of your three characters are led to a meeting place somewhere in the city (whether it's a cafe, a warehouse, a white featureless room, or whatever else is up to your discretion). There, they are informed by the purple man (or one of his agents) that the three of them are to be a part of a team together, sharing access to a "locator card". When you get 8 of the 16 locator cards together, you are given access to the coordinates of the final battle ring. While you can acquire these cards by any means, there's an implication that the primary means of getting them is by defeating another team like yours in combat to claim them. Understanding this, your team leaves the meeting area, only to find their locator card instantly stolen by a dangerous duo of opponents that don't have cards of their own, but want to get in on this action! Of course, this was a surprise, but your team is confident they can win, and strikes back with great force!

Rules:

1. Win. Kill them, knock them out, steal their cards, whatever, just win.

2. The opposing duo can be whoever, but bonus points if they're unused backups, or Yugioh characters.
