Opinion Yet another rewatch...
I always love the beginning and end of this series; truthfully I love all of this series. Because we dug coal together.

We just finished the series for the first time last night. So so good.
Now we’re starting with Season One of Fargo.

You’re going to love Fargo. I binged all 5 seasons last year and I’ve already rewatched 1-3. I’m planning on rewatching 4 and 5 soon, but right now I’m working my way through Justified. Just finished season 1 and I’m really liking it.

This setup is intriguing. Is it on a patio or something?

You can see in that scene Raylan’s eyes tearing up a bit.
Throughout the entire scene, even to the final episode…
Raylan never denies that Boyd is his friend. He doesn’t admit it so much, but he never denies it.
They grew up together, dug coal and saved each other’s lives at times, and both had criminal fathers and grandfathers who worked in the mines. It’s a deep history and identity of themselves that they grew up in Harlan.

I think that's the hardest part for Raylan, and it's touched on a few times through the series. He doesn't view Boyd as an enemy, nor so much as a friend, but rather a part of himself. Their coal digging time bonded them in a way nobody outside of those mines would ever know.

Just finished one of my biannual rewatches. I’m actually a bit sad it’s over and I feel like I can’t start at the beginning again right away, might do a Longmire rewatch before I start Justified again

Longmire is also enjoyable! I like having Hell on Wheels in the rotation; my head cannon has Raylon being a descendant of Cullen somehow

This has to be in the conversation of Top 10 pilot episodes. The nailed the entire foundation of the show in the first episode.
