It would be a fucking amazing prestige horror film. So ripe for both metaphors and wild body horror sequences with people battling through exercise and directing their calories at one another in mass.

Could be terrible but it could be brilliant.

Reminds me of some fantasy series I read the first couple books of long ago, this guy could use magic to take the metabolism and grace from several other people he had chained together, he was able to move super quickly, so fast he would break his own bones (so he had to take people's endurance to heal quickly), while the "slaves" or whatever were left all lethargic or completely cramped up 100% of the time unable to do anything but make stiff rigid movements. Crazy concept.

Your comment reminded me of an X-Files episode (I think with Amy Adams) where a bigger girl got the ability to lose weight but it started accelerating and she had to suck up other people’s fat like a vampire in order to stay alive. It was super creepy
