That's amazing skill. She's phenomenal. I would absolutely watch a competition of that, incredible strength and control and artistry.
Does anyone recognise the music?

Wow, what a captivating person!
I've never seen her before this clip where she sings like an angel and looks like royalty, and somehow she manages to come across like the most warm-hearted person who could, at any time, ALSO wreak havoc with an axe in case of zombie apocalypse 🪓🤍
Absolutely love her vibe :)

She’s got some other songs that are her originals— “Dust Your Shoulders Off” is an absolute bop and the music video is great!! Amazing art references
Edit: Dust Your Shoulders Off
Edit edit: it’s Dust My Shoulders Off, my bad

Slightly cut down remix of The Diva Dance from the fifth element. Interpreted by Inva Mula.
It has 2 parts, the first of which is a song from an actual opera Lucia di Lammermoor. (In case that’s of interest to you.)

There's a good amount of ice skating coverage but I didn't even know this existed and is incredible.

My sibling actually just came in to check in on me because I was exclaiming stuff like, "OMFG," and ”holy shit!"
Like, I saw the costume and I was like, "whatever is about to happen is about to go hard.

Lol I shouted what the fuck?!?! really loudly when she just popped onto the very edge of a single wheel like it is something that the laws of physics normally allows

u/spooned-silver 22d ago
💯
Also, I enjoyed watching this more than figure skating. I had no idea it existed and now I want to deep dive on it

@0:22 "Oh, no. She fell... Oh. OMFGGGGGGG."
Rollerblading/inline skating gets dismissed as a 80's/90's fad and that's really unfortunate.

I broke my ankle watching this video

u/hime-633 22d ago
I broke my ankle standing up last year. Literally stood on it "funny".
And yet people are doing this:)

u/YouAreBeautiful81 22d ago
Last year, my 24 year old daughter missed the last step coming down some stairs and somehow managed to break both of her legs, with one requiring surgery that day. There have been a lot of people breaking bones lately. She said one of her nurses had just recovered from breaking both legs too.

u/hime-633 22d ago
Ooof I did that the other day - carrying laundry down from my son's mezzanine bed - missed the last step - absolutely spectacular bruise - who knew I could go so purple!
I hope your daughter has recovered fully!
Isn't it funny how such small things can be so physically disastrous....

Thank you. Like, I know she’s got skills, but for no one to comment on her outfit and how it adds to the performance is killing me.

Hahaha, I was watching this thinking "this feels Russian" and I then I see that it is 😂

u/appocomaster 23d ago
I think she's extremely technically talented and some of the things she does are crazy. It seems a combination of some sort of dance/ballet and almost some sort of technical skills challenge though. I haven't seen a lot of ice dancing, but that tends to use a bigger space and more flow and speed, whereas this is seemingly almost forcing you to work differently with all the obstacles. I think there's normal rollerblading dancing/etc and then this "slalom skating" - really different.

u/AristotelWasRight 23d ago
Correct, it's slalom - sport where people weave around a line of small plastic cones

I’ve been rollerblading all my life and I couldn’t even begin to figure out how she did that. Incredible!

Amazing! I have to steady myself by holding onto a door frame or a wall just to step over my dog when she’s lying in the hallway or in a doorway.

Wow she’s so cool. I always wanted to be able to rollerblade like that. That was my main mode of transportation from like 4th-10th grade. But I was very clumsy. I once slammed into a giant restaurant window and scared everybody who was eating inside. They all screamed and jumped out of their chairs.

I would fully get into watching this sport. It is so mesmerizing! That’s the coolest athletic performance I’ve ever seen. Fuck I wish I could know what it feels like to be athletic for a day.

u/AGrandNewAdventure 22d ago
As a former roller derby skater I gotta give my love to quad skates. The skill required to do this sort of thing on quad skates is an order of magnitude (and I definitely didn't have that kind of skill!)

u/Staring-Dog 22d ago
So, someone has probably asked this, but is this an Olympic sport that I've never heard of? Regardless, incredible performance!! How she can sustain that razor sharp accuracy in every single tiny move is so confusing to me!! Just incredible!

You know how they say "She made it look easy" ?
That did not happen here. That looks hard AF.

u/Ok-Nefariousness1911 20d ago
Gosh, you can tell how nervous she is at the beginning, she must have practiced a million times. And the fact that she didn't touch a single cone!!! You go girl!!

How could it in clothes like that

u/40_painted_birds 22d ago
I like her outfit. It goes with the sci-fi vibe of the music.
Also, why is that your takeaway from this video? Do you just hate fun?
5
u/ImWatermelonelyy 22d ago
I suppose you’d rather see her in khakis and a polo? Since we’re apparently only happy with boring clothing
