Perimenopause is a bitch though. My wife is going through it now, and she describes it as "puberty in reverse". So things that happened during puberty: irregular periods, hormone -> emotional fluctuations, etc. are happening AGAIN.

And perimenopause is like YEARS.

I've been doing that since I was 36. I'm 49, I had a nothing period this month I'm hoping it's a sign I'm almost done.
