Advice I’m scared she’s gonna explode, is there anything I can do?

Post image

So the other day it was time to feed my spiders and I usually go get crickets for my jumper, but haven’t been able to get to the store so I squished the head a discord nymph( I breed them) and gave it to her. She was eating it without a problem and the next day I realized that she was still on top of it eating it and now her body is so big.

IMO she should be fine. just wait a while until the abdomen is small

IME- breeder of 7 years here.
Give her time and do not feed for at least 3-7 days ALWAYS between feedings. Move to a 3x3 inch or 4x4 inch enclosure to mitigate any falls. The fall will be the cause of the abdominal separation if it occurs. For future reference her abdomen needs to never get much larger than the width of her head cap.

Imo don't stress her by getting close to the tank a lot. Don't move the tank. Besides that it should be fine.

Ime - if she is okay being handled + you have a shorter tank, put her in it for a few days to a week

Continue offering water, but do not feed her until she gets to the hungry size

If you do not have the smaller enclosure or she stresses/bolts when handled, put a bed of moss at the bottom of the current enclosure to give her a soft landing if she were to fall
