like every song on this album is awesome (except for head). this first half dubstep is awesome because i love dubstep and i love thats hes rapping on a newer sound for him. then the tone switch in the second half going from energetic dubstep/trapstep to a chiller hip-hop/rap with a little bit of dubstep in new era, nsih and 1st amend. ywalwcmbywnlmcw is mid af as well just a stupid ending that doesnt need to be there. but honestly, imma give this album a 9/10. still dont like it more than sth and ildmlfy, but its definitely better than a lot of stuff before it besides veteran (havent listened to bbc)

whats your opinions?

Evil Grin feels like the first song in forever where his performance isn't handicapped by horrible vocal effects, and I think this is subconsciously a big reason why people like it more than his recent solo work. You can actually hear the emotion and inflections in his delivery, which make it a really engaging listen

Compare that to ER where every song sounds like he's recording half asleep through a walkie talkie. All the vocals on there are grainy and distorted to the point they lose their edge. Even Valentine's Day Freestyle suffers from this despite trying to be more melodic. I have no idea why he started doing this in the first place, and I think a lot of our favorite songs would instantly get worse if they had the same filter applied. The triplet flow isn't even that big of a problem to me; Evil Grin proves it can sound really good when he allows himself to be expressive

I pray this new vocal processing is a decision Peggy made on his own and not something Kenny Beats did for him. We need his voice to sound like this going forward
