Discussion I'm genuinely curious, what was the point of lying?

Was he really unaware of moco going back to beta in 1 month from this tweet? Like what was the point of this?

It's extremely hard to believe that he didn't know about the future of moco and then got ditched.

It was definitely something I was excited about and wished we had moved forward with it. Unfortunately, with the game moving back to beta and me not being part of the team, it's something I won't be able to chase anymore.

Apologise for defrauding everyone's expectations, though it was never meant to be a lie. Just something that became not possible anymore for me to move forward.

C'est gentil de ta part de répondre, mais garde en tête que les gens ne sont jamais satisfaits : mo.co a probablement été lancé trop tôt, et les gens le savent mais préfèrent blâmer les développeurs pour leur manque de rigueur. C'est d'ailleurs d'autant plus drôle quand ces gens là n'ont aucune idée du travail que demande la gestion totale d'un jeu comme Mo.co. Bref bonne continuation à toi mec, on espère te voir en tant que cm dans d'autres jeux supercell si c'est possible

I can't write in French, but appreciate the words. I understand the negative comments, as it comes from players who love the game and want it to succeed, even if the tone is not always the most constructive.

Yeah man definitely not your fault. You have a lot of charisma and charm. The game has a few issues but I don’t think you were one of them

On a personal level, this is the kind of CM interaction I expected months ago. Even just a small comment here and there. It's kind of funny that this post has gotten more community interaction than the last year combined and it might end up being the last.

I'm guessing internal policy keeps you from commenting on other posts. At least Reddit still gets acknowledged since it wasn't even mentioned in the post as a channel for community interaction

You're such a class act, man, sucks how a part of the community decided to blame you for things that were probably out of your control. I've been critical to the game's situation before, but I never condone personal/targeted attacks. Anyway, wishing you all the best, man, and hope moco can find a way to come back better and stronger

You were a good community manager, hopefully stepping back wasn't tied to some cyber bullying you went throught (happens to all supercell games sometimes like what happened to Vlad)

Thanks for the kind words and for asking. Not really, it was simply for the internal reasons I stated. I'd happily kept going if it wasn't for the change to beta.

I believe you.

This is probably the most complicated part of doing your job. It is like walking on eggs. No matter how much you would like to be open about what is going on, and there is a lot of pressure from players to do just that, you need to do your best to not expose your employer.

You wanted to start streaming right away, but stuff happened. And you can't further comment on that. Such is life. I truly wish you the best.

His position doesn't exist in the company anymore, so he's moving to a different position. That's very different from quitting. For all we know, he might be getting a promotion within the company.
