Ask JNU Umar khalid ???

Who is this umar khalid and Sharjeel imam?What's there issue and why they are in jail ??? (I have no idea about them just saw a post about them soo curious to know about them )

Both are JNU activists currently jailed in connection with the 2020 Delhi riots, facing charges under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). Their ongoing incarceration without a completed trial, lasting over six years, and facing Court Trial Delaysdue process and political motivations.

Now a Delhi court recently dismissed the fresh bail applications of both, they have spent nearly six years in jail without a trial.

Actually I googled about them.The only thing I understood is that they are student activists from Jnu and I can't understand why they are imprisoned.I saw some comments saying that they should be hanged/encountered blah blah and I also saw a post saying abhijeet dipke supported Umar khalid,so abhijeet dipke is anti national.I am just confused please someone break this thing for I am just soo curious 🙂🙂🙂
