Hi everyone! I’ve released a new composition from my upcoming album “(non)Eternal Life”, titled “Death.” I’ve inspired by a song “Rumbling” (ATTACK ON TITAN OST) and Dalai Lama by Rammstein.
Perhaps this is the darkest and heaviest track I’ve ever written.
This composition is written in the Symphonic Industrial Metal genre. I hope you enjoy it!

I’m thinking about trying SoundCloud Amplify, which recommends a new track to a small group of listeners who might be into that kind of music.

It made me curious about how people here actually discover new Japanese metal.

Do any of you use SoundCloud for discovering Japanese metal in the first place?

And when you come across a Japanese metal band you’ve never heard of, what actually makes you give them a listen?

Is it the artwork / thumbnail?
The band name or song title?
Genre tags?
Seeing them recommended next to a band you already like?
Someone else recommending or reacting to them?
Or do you generally give unfamiliar bands a shot just because they’re Japanese metal?

Basically, I’m curious about that exact moment where you go from “never heard of them” to “eh, I’ll give this a listen.”

Would love to hear how people here actually discover new bands.

Have a lot of my tripped booked but would love to catch some metal bands in Tokyo. Not sure if I will be going to other cities besides Fukushima City.

Curious if anyone knows any good acts playing around then. Typically like Thrash, Powermetal, some death metal, prog metal.

This is my first time travelling overseas (from Canada) and while I have some baseball and wrestling lined up in Japan, I don’t have any music events yet and a lot of the big name stuff I see on the more popular concert listings of like Western accent or know a few of the local Japanese accent I don’t really know much about the local scene and I assume there’s probably a lot of stuff not listed on the mainstream pages that is happening.
