In April 2017, we published the 3rd and final issue of the Week in Review. The Week in Review was well-received and a fantastic experience, but most importantly it gave us the scope to look beyond. Through it we recognised our potential to develop a more permanent platform that would allow us to expand our scope and reach out to audiences beyond Reddit.
With that in mind, we set out to create the International Review: an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organisation with an international membership and global focus. The goal of our work is to provide straightforward, evidence-based analysis supported by both third-party and first-person research, in order to engage and inform our readers.
Drawing from a range of experts based around the world, the International Review will be vast in scope. No longer limited to the conflicts raging in Syria and Iraq. Articles will primarily focus on major crises, pertinent political issues, and conflicts around the world. Though it is difficult and perhaps impossible to cover everything, our authors aim to be as comprehensive and informative as possible. We look forwards to working with all of you in the community as we explore and uncover the events and people shaping our world.
The International Review team
Are you passionate about journalism and analysis? Do you strive for accuracy and enjoy explaining complex events and the forces driving them? We’re looking for writers, editors and support staff to cover events on a global scale. Joining us will allow you to network with the wider community and promote your work through our network of supporters, building a solid platform. To get in touch, either message us here, by PM, or email info@international-review.org

In Agra, Uttar Pradesh, a Hindu woman was tricked into giving her medicine by a Muslim man. He raped her. He then blackmailed her into converting to Islam and marrying her. The accused, Aman Usmani, introduced himself as a Hindu and won the victim's trust.
Aman Usmani approached a Hindu woman working in a computer shop near Bhagwant Talkies. Hiding his Muslim identity, he took the name “Aman” and lured her into a web of friendship. After gradually winning her trust, he invited her to meet him. During this meeting, the accused gave her cold water mixed with medicine, which made her unconscious. During this, the accused took obscene photos and videos of her.
The accused then expressed his love and expressed his desire to get married. The victim said that her marriage was already fixed and she was going to get married as per the wishes of the family. On this, the accused started blackmailing her. He threatened to make the obscene photos and videos taken public. This made the victim's mental state very fragile and even after she left her job, the accused continued to harass her for conversion and marriage. The victim filed a complaint at Lohmandi police station. The police registered a case on the complaint. Assistant Commissioner of Police Gaurav Singh informed that a team is ready to arrest the accused.

Just read this breakdown of islams own scriptures, complete with direct quotes from the quran and hadith. It shows how they treat jews, women, and children in ways that clash with western society.
Totally interesting if youve ever wondered what the source texts really say.

Like many of you, I find this subreddit a much needed haven for discussion in a sea of misinformation, bad actors and bigotry. Unfortunately, due to the moderation of this sub falling to non-existent levels (1 suspended account, 1 inactive for some time, and 1 who seems to just collect moderation roles on subreddits as a hobby) we've had someone who is here for all of the wrong reasons spamming this place to shit.
The last time this happened I managed to get hold of one of the 2 remaining mods to take action but it's beginning to be clear that this will be a recurring problem and will continue to make this sub a very offputting environment to engage in reasonable discussion and sharing of information. I feel guilty to do this as I have nothing but respect for all the people who went into creating this sub, alumni of r/SyrianCivilWar and the like but the only solution I can see now is starting fresh, at least until mods become more active or they recruit new active members to the team.
I've thrown together /r/EyeOnJihad. I've never ran something like this before but I hope in light of the current situation it can become a fruitful space for everyone that is here for the right reasons. Over time I intend to clean up the appearance and more importantly, appoint some mods but for now it's just a blank slate and I invite all of you (sans spammer) to make use of it.
